「忙しいのが大好きな日本人」Is being busy always a good thing and a part of Japanese mindset?

Is being busy always a good thing and  a part of Japanese mindset?

I am kind of feeling I can never be free.
When I used to work in Japanese restaurant at Tokyo, I love to keep things busy. Once I was free from anything and there were nothing to do, I felt a little upset and vain. Cause I couldn’t find anything to have to be done.

I’ve desired a big time off from my work for several years. Now here in Australia finally and I’ve got time but I feel like I don’t know what to do.

I think 90 % of Japanese live to work, not work to live. We are misunderstanding the right meaning of “work.”

I think most of Japanese is workaholics including me.
