Western philosophy has a long history and a strong relationship with religion, academia and politics.

Who is your first philosopher?

Since the time of Plato and Aristotle, people have been thinking about what the soul is and what love is.
Especially after Augustine, it has been inseparable from Christianity.
If one tries to study Western philosophy without any regard to religion, he or she may miss the fundamental point and fail to understand it.
In addition, philosophers prepare for the propositions of their own thought by analyzing and criticizing the philosophers of the past.
Therefore, the more modern thought becomes, the more knowledge of the philosophers that is assumed is necessary.
