It has been about 25 years or more since I ended my life in Europe. Since I returned to Japan, I have cut ties with most of my then-customers. But fortunately, I still have links with one of them over Facebook. He is a Norwegian and lives in Bergen. When I was a salesman for an overseas market, I met him many times in his office. As a result, I became close to him like a friend. I had been once entertained by him in Bergen. I enjoyed it so much that I had drunk with him until dawn.
Like an ordinary Norwegian, he loves beautiful nature, and Bergen has a lot of beautiful nature. We can see a lot of fjords, beautiful mountains and forests. So he often stays there at the weekends and on holidays. And he has sometimes posted photos on his Facebook when he has been there. Last weekend, he posted a photo. He seemed to have been in Gudvangen. I do know the place, but according to Google Maps, it is a 2-hour drive from Bergen. It is only a piece of photo, but it touched me deeply. I am tempted to come back to Norway to see the fjords and the beautiful nature.

　欧州での駐在を終えて、25年以上が経ちました。日本に帰国して以来、その当時のお客さんとの縁はほとんど切れていますが、一人だけいまだにファイスブックでつながっています。彼はノルウェーの人で、ベルゲンに住んでいます。ボクが海外営業をしていた頃は、彼を何度も訪れ、親しくなり、友達のような関係になりました。また、一度、ベルゲンで盛大に歓待してもらったこともあります。あまりに楽しくて、夜明けまで飲み明かしました。
彼は、普通のノルウェーの人のように、自然が大好きで、週末や休みになると、ベルゲンの周りにあるフィヨルドや美しい山や森を訪れます。そして、たまに、写真をフェイスブックに投稿してくれます。先週末も投稿してくれました。グドヴァンゲンの風景です。ここは知りませんでしたが、ベルゲンから車で2時間くらいのところにあるようです。
　たった一枚の写真ですが、すごく感動しました。また、ノルウェーに戻って、フィヨルドや美しい自然を見たくなりました。
