The Orix Buffaloes beat the Yakult Swallows on Sunday to win their franchise's first Japan Series since 1996. It has made me extremely happy. When it lost two games in the first three games, I had an uneasy feeling that it might repeat the same as last year. But it bounced back. I had a lot of players that impressed me in the seven games. Among them was Masataka Yoshida, who impressed me the most. The two world-class home runs he hit in the fifth game amazed me. The second one was so big as to run into the third-floor balcony seats. In addition, two relievers, Udagawa and Yamazaki, did good jobs. Theirs in the fourth game were phenomenal. 
My favourite team, the Hanshin Tigers, has a new coach on the staff. I expect it to win at least the Central League next year.

　オリックスバファローズが日本シリーズでヤクルトを破り26年ぶりに日本一になりました。めちゃくちゃ嬉しいです。最初の3戦で2敗した時は、去年と同じようパターンかと不安がよぎりましたが、見事に逆境を跳ね返してくれました。特に印象に残ったのは、吉田正尚選手が第5戦で打った2本のホームランです。どちらも、日本人選手とは思えないほどの迫力のあるホームランでした。2本目は大阪ドームの3階席まで飛びました。それと、リリーフの宇田川選手と山崎颯がすばらしい働きを見せくれました。第4戦の二人の投球は驚異的でした。
来年は、新監督と迎えた阪神にせめてセリーグで優勝してもらいたいです。
