I received Faber-Castell’s fountain pen, for which I asked to repair the nib. I promptly tried it, and it wrote itself so well that I had nothing wrong. It was very comfortable and wrote itself as well as six years ago. It was sent back with a memo. According to it, the repairer disassembled and cleaned it. In addition, he adjusted the balance of the pen nib and changed the shape of the pen point. I am surprised to see the repair improve the condition so much. I can probably use it for another five years.
Fully satisfied with the repair, I am now debating if I should ask for repairing Cross’s fountain pen of mine. I still have it but have not used it since I began to use Farber-Castell’s pen. But I still have a strong attachment to it and have been unable to discard it.

　ペン先の調整を依頼していたファーバー・カステルの万年筆が帰ってきました。早速、書いてみました。以前のような違和感はなく、極めて快適です。6年前と変わらない書き味で、非常に満足しています。万年筆と一緒に調整内容のメモが入っていました。それによると、分解洗浄に加え、ペン先のバランス調整とペンポイントの形状調整を行ったとのことです。調整でこんなに変わるものかと驚いています。これで、ファーバー・カステルの万年筆はすくなくとも後5年は使えそうです。
　調整がすばらしかったので、Crossの万年筆も調整に出してみようかと考えています。Cross万年筆をまだ持っているのですが、ファーバー・カステルの万年筆を使い始めてからはほとんど使っていませんでした。でも、愛着があり、捨てずに持っていたのです。
