As described in the previous articles, more and more stores have disappeared in my town, and a Mos Burger store was demolished. Amid such a downturn, convenience stores remain active. But I am afraid that some of them may disappear due to their fierce competition.
 The same competition is taking place in beauty salons. They are increasing like mushrooms in my town. Probably, it is because hairdressers have a strong desire to start their businesses and can start it without a heavy investment. The number is more than that of convenience stores in my town, and none of them has closed its business.
 Dental clinics are in fiercer competition. There are five dental clinics within a ten-minute walk from my home. Some are only closed once a week and make examinations even on Sunday. They seem to struggle to survive.

　以前にも書きましたが、ボクの街では店舗がどんどん消えてきます。モスバーガーも、ついに建物まで壊され跡形もなくなりました。そんな中、コンビニは依然として健在です。近所に何店舗もあるので、過当競争でなくなららないかと心配です。
　コンビニの負けず劣らずの過当競争にあるのが、美容院です。ボクの家から徒歩10分県内で見ると、コンビニより美容院のほうが多いです。美容師さんは腕がよければ、固定客が着きやすく、大きな投資も必要としないことから、独立を目指す人が多いのでしょう。いまだに閉店した美容院はありません。
　更に驚くことは、歯医者さんです。ボクの街では歯医者さんは、美容院並みの激しい競争にさらされています。家から徒歩10分圏内に5件もあります。中には、週休1日で、日曜日まで診察している歯医者さんもあります。どの歯医者さんも生き残るために必死のようです。
