Recently, I have seen the local MPs walking or running around my town. It is my first time seeing them in my town since the last general election. They have often come to a railway station in my town to appeal the passersby. They stood there for a few hours to hand out their flyers to the passersby. I also heard from my wife that some have come to her workplace. They had asked her boss to distribute their flyers to his colleagues in their constituencies. A few days ago, I also got a phone call to see how popular the would-be candidates are. It read their names out and asked me if I knew any of them. This shows that a new general election will take place soon. I do not know now when it will do. But I expect it to take place within this year. Imagining it, I get sick and tired of it. This is because I have to see and hear campaign cars shouting only the names of candidates. The cars always frustrate me very much because they make no sense to me. I really hate them nauseatingly and hope that they never come near my flat.
I also hope that the election will take place in December or later because I live with my newborn grandchild. She has just been born and is still very young. So I have always tried, and will continue to try, to block anything that frustrates her as much as possible. The cars are nothing but a nuisance. They are so noisy that they prevent her from being calm and sleeping well. If the election takes place while she is in my home, I will be more nervous than ever about the cars. They should know that the closer and more often they come to my flat, the more likely they are to lose my vote.

　最近、地元選出の議員を街でよく見かけるようになりました。彼らを街で見るのは、前回の総選挙以来です。通行人にアピールするために、度々、駅に来ます。駅の前に数時間立って、ビラ配りをしています。また、妻の勤務先にも顔を出して、上司に選挙区に住んでいる人にビラを配るよう頼んだようです。更に、数日前に、電話がかかってきました。立候補予定者の認知度チェックの電話でした。予定者の名前を読み上げ、知っているかどうかを確認していました。この様子では、選挙が近かそうです。いつ選挙が行われるかはわかりませんが、今年中にはありそうです。でも、それを想像しただでうんざりです。例の名前だけを連呼する選挙カーを聞いたり見たりしなければならないからです。選挙カーはボクには何の意味もなく、いつもイライラします。選挙カーは吐き気がするほど嫌いでので、決して、ボクの家に近づかないよう願います。
　また、選挙は12月以降にしてもらいたいものです。家には生まれたてで、幼い孫がいるからです。彼女に耳障りなるものがないようしています。選挙カーは、まさに邪魔者です。うるさすぎて落ち着いてぐっすり眠れません。今回は、今まで以上に、選挙カーが気になりそうです。家の近所に頻繁に近づけば近づくほど、ボクの票は逃げますから。
