I am a native Japanese speaker and I am doing Chinese translation job
(mainly Chinese to Japanese).
My native language is Japanese, but I can speak English and Chinese, so I can communicate using any of the languages.

My strengths

I am a native Japanese speaker, so I can write correct and natural Japanese.

I have experience in translation in the manufacturing and game industries, as well as in children's books and Japanese manga.
I have a science background (chemistry), so I have some understanding of science-related fields and can handle a wide range of projects.

My career

I graduated from The University of Tokyo and Graduate School of Agricultural and Life sciences/ Faculty of Agriculture, The University of Tokyo.

I started learning Chinese at the same time as I entered university, so I have been studying Chinese for more than 9 years.
And I studied in China during my graduate school years.

After graduation, I worked for a German manufacturer's Japanese and Chinese branches. I was an R&D engineer and did some translation job inside the company utilizing my foreign language skills.
I also worked for a Japanese game company as an internal translator.

I have been learning in a the Chinese Translator Training Course at the ISS Institute, which is a famous translator/interpreter training institute in Japan.

  • TOEIC score 900

  • EIKEN Grade Pre-1 (An English qualification test popular in Japan, the highest grtade is 1.)

    • I am in charge of translating Chinese e-mails to Japanese. Chinese e-mails are less formal compared to Japanese ones. I try my best to ensure smooth communication by using correct honorific expressions(敬语)considering the differences in business customs. My boss is satisfied with my work and have been giving me the job for more than one year.
