My Dream
Good morning. My name is xx and I want to thank you for coming. Today, I`d
like to tell you about my dream for social change in education.
Let`s begin by thinking of a question "are you enjoying your classes?" I feel
like some people will say no because I notice that a lot of students keep
talking and sleeping, reading comics or novels, watching videos, touching
smartphone or laptop during the classes. I couldn`t believe my eyes when I
saw that, so I asked the same question to a baseball player once before. He
said the classes were not interesting and he got into university because he
wanted the university degree.
When I heard that I felt disappointed because I got into university because
I wanted to learn something. For a long time I blamed the students who were
not hard at word in class. But now, I have stopped blaming them. Because now
I think the bad thing is not the students but the social system that makes
students do what they don`t like. Therefore, I hope I can create a society
where people aren`t determined by their educational status but their desire
to do something.
So, today I told you about my dream for social change in education. I know
it`s a difficult thing to achieve, but I hope you can join me and achieve it
together. Thank you for listening to my presentation.
