正20面体に世界地図を投影したものをダイマクションマッピングというそうです。「地球」をつくるアプローチのひとつとして、ダイマクションマッピングと「フリップチェッカー」（めくるだけで好きな模様を作れるインサイドアウト作品）のアイデアを組み合わせることにしました。
"dimaxion mapping" is one of projection method to make a geographic map. I applied it and the ideas of "flippable checkerboard" to make the sphere world.

Tutorial

推奨は普通紙10cmから切り出した最大正6角形（一辺7cmくらいになる）。上級者向け。作例はカラぺラピス（アズライト色）にアンティークゴールドのスプレーを塗布したもの。お気に入りの紙。
Recommended: the maximal regular hexagon from 10cm square Kami (~ 7cm for the side of the hexagon). Complex Level. The example work is made from a shadow fold (azure blue) with antique gold spray on the back. My favorite.
