Not all sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows

Genesis Chapter 8

Eight people and a whole bunch of animals in a confined amount of space for a little over a year. At first this was probably a wonderful departure from the everyday experience, but as the months roll on, I could well imagine the novelty of this cruise  Would Have Worn Off.  They would Be taking care of the animals, Feeding, cleaning and use your imagination for what gets thrown overboard, yes fun times. It Is not a wonder that It says, but God remembered Noah, If there ever was a “Are we there yet?” moment, it would be on that boat and coming from everyone. In the reading the water recedes, things dry up and just as God shut them in the ark it is God who speaks to Noah and tells him it is time for him and  and his family and all the creatures to leave the ark.  Noah builds an alter to the LORD and offers burnt offerings, which in hindsight if you did not have any extra animals could be problematic for an animal species. Something interesting to look at is what GOD says in verse 21, for the imagination of a person's heart is evil from his youth ....,  could this be speaking of an age of accountability, I dunno, but I find it interesting.  Let us flesh this out a little because of Adam we all inherit death, that's a given. It is built into us so to speak, we have fallen short of what God originally wanted for us, everlasting life in his presence, living and working as a family. We know that we have more of a lean to do what we want and not what God wants for us, this is separate issue but also part of the separation from God problem, but at what age does a person get to make that free choice being no longer under the authority of their parent(s) or guardian. I do not have a definite answer for you, but what I do know is God's heart towards us. We are all loved more than what we could ever think or imagine therefore anyone that is incapable whether due to age or mental incapability that cannot make a freewill choice, God is merciful. We will all still die, that is inevitable, but I am talking about punishment after the fact. Also, over and above this Jesus' work on the cross, he took our punishment, yours, mine, our debt is paid, “it is finished.” Quote Jesus.
