The meaning of art has changed and continues to evolve. So how do you make a building for a subject that is, by definition, always changing? And architecture is always fixed. It's fixed in space, it's fixed in time, it's fixed in the moment that you had that idea. It's taken five years to fruition and, all of a sudden, is that idea relevant any more?

アートの意味が変り、そして変わり続けている。そもそも変化を本質とするものを見せる変化しない建築って、どういうことなのか。建築は空間にも時間にも固定されている。設計のアイデアが得られた瞬間に固定され、５年かかって完成した暁に、そのアイデアが古くなってしまっていることが、突然わかるんじゃない？
