27.聖徳太子

仏教と儒教をベースとした倫理規定を啓蒙するために17条の憲法を考案
④法隆寺や法起寺など由緒ある寺を立て、その歴史的な仏教建造物が世界遺産に登録
Prince Shotoku served the Emperor Suiko as the regent at the Asuka period.
He promoted Buddhism to establish centralized state under the Emperor.
In order to quell the growing influence of Soga Clan and abolish hereditary system of political position, he created the system of twelve court ranks.
He also created Japanese first constitution called as “the Seventeen-Article Constitution” to enlighten nobles and government officials on an ethic code based on Buddhism and Confucianism.
He founded venerable temples such as Horyu-ji, Hokki-ji and so on.
The area of Horyuji is designated as world cultural heritage site for its world’s oldest buddhist monuments. This is first registration for Japan along with Himeji castle.
This year of 2021 is 1400th anniversary after his death.
Therefore, many special retrospective exhibitions about Prince Shotoku.

28.渋沢栄一

日本の近代化の父と呼ばれる。
②埼玉県の藍染の農家に生まれで家業を手伝いながら読み書きや論語を覚えた。
③徳川慶喜の家臣として財政問題を解決し、パリ万博に派遣されたりする。
この視察で近代化と経済発展の大切さを理解する。
④帰国後、約500社の企業や約600もの社会福祉、教育、国際交流の団体を設立した。

He will be a portrait of next ten thousand note soon.
Shibusawa Eiichi was a famous industrialist during the period of Japan modernization and well known as “the father of Japanese Capitalism”.
He was born in farmer family, who engaged in the production indigo in Saitama Prefecture.
He grew up helping with the family business and he learned reading, writing and “the Analects of Confucius” at the same time.
He gained remarkable talents about business techniques with an ethic code based on Confucianism.
As Tokugawa Yoshinobu’s retainer, he demonstrated his ability to solve financial problems of Tokugawa family.
And he was despatched to Paris World Exposition as a member Tokugawa’s Delegation.
In this trip, he realized the importance of industrial and economic development.
Therefore , he was involved in the founding of some 500 enterprises and economic organizations and some 600 organizations for social welfare, education, and international exchange.
