32 is correct. 31 is wrong. 33 is not the Perfect answer.

On a spelling test, there is only one way to get the answer correct.
If he spelt 10 words out of 10, he got %100. Perfect!

He just wanted a minimum passing grade.
The grades were from A to D.
A, Perfect!
D, failing.
C, minimum passing. 
Getting a score of C in all subjects would be Perfect for him.

By 17, he still didn't have a girlfriend.
He dreamed of the Perfect girl but he was, by no far a Perfect boy.
He was short. He was small. Overall his grades were a C.
An imperfect boy wanting a Perfect girl.

In engineering school, 70% was passing.
To him, 70% would be Perfect.

As an engineer, everything must be Perfect. 100%.
Measurements, amounts, quantities, and material.
Even timing. No room for error.
There is not exception to the rule. No deviation from policy.
The manual must be followed, step by step. Perfect!

As a husband, he didn't have to be Perfect.
It is not the rule.
There is no policy of Perfect in marriage.
However getting married showed that he would accept commitment.
The company would say, "he is married", we could trust him more. Give him a promotion. He is Perfect.

On the other hand, staying single showed that something was wrong.
That he was broken.
If a woman would not choose to marry him, he must have been a malfunctioning human. He is not Perfect. No promotion for him!

-Oh shit! How to succeed?-

Step one, find a woman. Avoid the Perfect woman because by the time he made it to 40, he would realize that his idea of Perfect is an anime woman in her 30s, who looks like she is in her 20's. With plump breast and ass.
Who is 160 cm and 48 kg. Wears white loose socks around the house. Nothing else!
He is not Perfect. How could a Perfect woman want an imperfect man?

-Years later- 

Career? A success!
Marriage? A failure!
Anyways, that's OK. He is no longer a necessity.
He is Mr. No Purpose. 

Years of being told, being showed, being pushed to everything Perfect.
The best is the iPhone. It's Perfect!
Go to the gym. Make nice muscles. Stand up strait. Look Perfect!
Save this much money to have a Perfect life.

Now, Mr. No Purpose will change.
He will be the BEST Imperfect person that he could be!

Imperfect is Perfect!
