巨人ポール・バニヤン―アメリカの奇妙な話という本が筑摩から出ていますが、これはバニヤンに関係ない話も収録されているのでオンリー本とは言えません。したがって、『ポール・バニヤン民話伝説集』が日本初のオンリー本になると思います(絵本を除いて)。もし何かバニヤン関連の和書が他にもあったら教えて下さい。

国立国会図書館のデータには原著名が明記されていないようだが、おそらくRachel Field, American Folk and Fairy Tales. New York: Charles Scribner's Sons; 1929の翻訳だと考えられる。目次は以下の通りなのでオンリー本ではない。
その他に『アメリカ民話 : 大男ポール・バニアン』(文：渡辺茂男・絵：ばばのぼる)と『大男ポール・バニアン』(文：岡本一郎・絵：曽根悦子)といった絵本がある。
