英語力の基礎は文法です。がんばりましょう！

（１）My watch is cheap, but his is very expensive.
           = His watch is (            ) (            ) expensive than (            ).
（２）He didn't give anything to me.
          = He (             ) (             ) to me.
（３）I had a good time at the party.
          = I enjoyed (               ) at the party.
（４）I'm always sad when I read this story.
          = (              ) this story always (            ) me (               ).
（５）Tom read this book in his youth.
        = This book (           ) (            ) by Tom when he (          ) young.
（６）She has never been to Hong Kong before.
           = This is her (             ) (             ) to Hong Kong.
（７）Bob is the fastest runner in his class.
          = Bob (          ) faster than any (             ) (             ) in his class.
（８）When school was over, I went home at once.
          = (             ) (            ) (             ) school was over, I went home.
（９）Shall I carry your bag?
          = Do you want (              ) (               ) carry your bag?
（１０）This book is too difficult for me to read.
          = This book is (           ) difficult that I (            ) read (            ).

【解答】
（１）My watch is cheap, but his is very expensive.
           = His watch is (    much     ) (   more     ) expensive than (  mine    ).
　　　比較級を強調するmuchは比較級の直前。
（２）He didn't give anything to me.
          = He (  gave     ) (  nothing    ) to me.
          not…any=no…に書きかえ、時制のミスに注意。
（３）I had a good time at the party.
          = I enjoyed (   myself     ) at the party.
　　  enjoy oneself= have a good time
（４）I'm always sad when I read this story.
          = (  Reading   ) this story always (  makes   ) me (    sad     ).
          動名詞が主語のとき単数扱いだから三単現忘れに注意。
（５）Tom read this book in his youth.
        = This book (   was    ) (  read    ) by Tom when he (  was    ) young.
           Tom readを見て、過去形と気づくこと。
（６）She has never been to Hong Kong before.
           = This is her (   first    ) (   visit    ) to Hong Kong.
           このvisitは「訪問」という意味の名詞。
（７）Bob is the fastest runner in his class.
          = Bob (  runs   ) faster than any (  other  ) (   boy / student   ) in his class.
　      any other＋単数に注意。複数形にしないこと。
（８）When school was over, I went home at once.
          = (  As   ) (  soon  ) (  as   ) school was over, I went home.
          at onceがないため、As soon as S V～を使う。
（９）Shall I carry your bag?
          = Do you want (   me   ) (   to    ) carry your bag?
          want 人 to～= Shall I～?の書き換え。
（１０）This book is too difficult for me to read.
          = This book is (    so       ) difficult that I (    can't        ) read (    it      ).
　　　too…to～＝so…that～の書き換え。thatは接続詞だからうしろは完全文
