HLAB サマースクール 2021が終わり早くも半年が経ちました。
8月13日から8月20日にかけて行われたHLABサマースクール 2021には、約230名の高校生が参加してくれました。オンラインやハイブリッドなど様々な形態で開催されたサマースクール。
それぞれの地域の一日の様子をnoteにて地域ごとにまとめてみました。

【HLAB Summer School 2021 Daily Report Vol.1】

　本日より、HLAB サマースクール 2021が始まりました。今年はこれまでサマースクールを開催してきた、東京・長野県小布施町・徳島県牟岐町・宮城県女川町のほか、新たに群馬県中之条町を加え、全国5地域を舞台とするサマースクールを展開しました。オンラインで行われた開会式では、参加者代表や委員長が気持ちのこもったスピーチをしました。また、女川町と中継をつなぎ、宮城県や女川町の関係者の皆様からお言葉をもらいました。参加者は、いつか実際に女川町に足を運びたいという気持がより一層強くなった様子でした。開会式終了後は、緊張をほぐすための「アイスブレイク」や英語での少人数授業である「セミナー」、英語での「お楽しみ企画」、「日記手紙企画」、一日を振り返る「リフレクション」を行いました。英語での授業に苦戦し悔しい思いをした参加者もいましたが、その後のお楽しみ企画では何とか自分の思いを伝えようとしていました。日記手紙企画では、自分の中の学びを日記に整理したり、手紙だからこそ伝えられる思いを手紙に記したりしました。

HLAB Summer School 2021 (HLAB MIYAGI-ONAGAWA) has started today. This year, in addition to Tokyo, Obuse Town in Nagano Prefecture, Muki Town in Tokushima Prefecture, and Onagawa Town in Miyagi Prefecture, where summer schools have been held in the past, Nakanojo Town in Gunma Prefecture was newly added to the program, making five regions across Japan the stage for the summer school. At the opening ceremony held online, high school student representatives and committee chairs gave heartfelt speeches. We also connected to the town of Onagawa via a live broadcast and received words from the people involved in Onagawa. The participants seemed to have a stronger desire to actually visit Onagawa someday. After the opening ceremony, we had an ice-breaker to ease the tension, a seminar which is a small class in English, a fun project in English, and a diary letter project. Some of the participants struggled in the English class and felt frustrated, but they managed to convey their thoughts in the fun project afterwards. In the diary letter project, all the participants wrote down their thoughts and feelings that could only be conveyed through letters to other people.

【HLAB Summer School Daily Report Vol.2】

サマースクール（HLAB MIYAGI-ONAGAWA）2日目は、任意参加の企画である「チャレンジタイム」から始まりました。いつか読もうと思っていた本を読んでみたり、ランニングをしてみたり、とそれぞれがやってみたいと思っていたことにチャレンジしました。その後は、セミナーと自己分析ワークショップ、社会人フリーインタラクションを行いました。自己分析ワークショップでは、参加者同士が過去の経験や自身の価値観についてインタビューをしあい主体的に取り組む姿が印象的でした。「フリーインタラクション」は、社会で活躍するゲストやメンターとの自由で相互的な交流の場です。個性豊かなゲストの方々が、自分の好きなことを追求する姿に刺激を受けました。参加者も積極的に質問をしたり、学んだことを全体で発表していました。自由に会話ができる「Cross Lab」の時間には、進路相談や留学についてなど様々なテーマでの会話を楽しみました。1日を振り返るリフレクションは2回目となり、緊張がほぐれてきた様子の参加者は新たな挑戦や気付きを話していました。
　
The second day of the summer school (HLAB MIYAGI-ONAGAWA) started with a challenge time, which is a voluntary project. Each of the participants challenged themselves to do something they had always wanted to do, such as reading a book they had planned to read someday or going for a run. After that, we had a seminar, a self-analysis workshop, and a free interaction for working people. In the self-analysis workshop, the participants interviewed each other about their past experiences and values, and it was impressive to see them proactively working on their own. Free interaction is a place for free and mutual exchange with guests and mentors who are active in society. I was stimulated by the way the guests with rich personalities pursued their favorite things. Participants actively asked questions and presented what they had learned to the whole group, and enjoyed talking about various topics such as career advice and study abroad during the Cross Lab. This was the second time for the participants to reflect on the day, and as they relaxed, they shared their new challenges and insights.

【HLAB Summer School Daily Report Vol.3】

サマースクール（HLAB MIYAGI-ONAGAWA）3日目は、2日目と同様にチャレンジタイムから始まりました。その後は、最後の「セミナー」と「自己分析ワークショップ」、「女川探求企画」を行いました。最後のセミナーでは、1日目はほとんど意見を言えなかった参加者が日本語を使いながらも懸命に自分の意見を発するようになるなど、自分の殻を破った参加者の姿が印象的でした。「自己分析ワークショップ」では、昨日に引き続き自分のこれまでの経験を互いに説明しあいました。さらに、お互いの経験について自分にはない強みを見出し伝え合うことで、自分の強みを発見し自分のこれまでの人生について語れるようになりました。「女川探求企画」には、女川で活躍する阿部喜英さん、高橋正樹さんをお迎えしました。復興にあたって最前線で活動されてきたお二人が、女川という町全体をどのように盛り上げてきたかを理解する機会となりました。参加者からは、女川という町にはたくさんの魅力があるとわかり訪れてみたいと思った、といった声があがりました。1日を振り返るリフレクションでは、1日目から3日目までの前半期間を振り返り、後半期間のはじまる3日後に向けてどのように過ごしたいかという思いを共有しました。

The third day of the summer school (HLAB MIYAGI-ONAGAWA) started with the same challenge time as the second day. After that, we had the last seminar, a self-analysis workshop, and Onagawa exploration project. In the last seminar, the participants who could hardly express their opinions on the first day started to express their opinions in English without fear of making mistakes. In the self-analysis workshop, the participants explained their past experiences to each other, as they did yesterday. In the reflection session, participants looked back on the first half of the day and shared their thoughts on how they would like to spend their time in the next three days when the second half of the day begins. 【HLAB Winter School Daily Report Vol.4】

2日間の中日を経て、サマースクール（HLAB MIYAGI-ONAGAWA）4日目が始まりました。はじめに「再会式」を行い、後半期間のスタートを新たな気持ちで迎えることができました。アイスブレイクのゲームでは、仲間と意見を出し合いながら協力して楽しみました。その後、前半の3日間で心に残った出来事を振り返り、後半期間でのチャレンジを宣言する「Fly again ONAGAWA」という企画を行いました。参加者どうしが、サマースクール後になりたい姿について共感し、それを実現するためにどうすればいいかを一緒に考えている姿が印象的でした。午後の「Cross Lab」では、進路相談など勉強に関することだけでなく趣味についての会話も楽しみました。将来について考えを深めたり、共通の趣味を発見したりする機会になりました。リフレクションでは、アウトプットが多かった1日を振り返りました。

After two days, the fourth day of summer school (HLAB MIYAGI-ONAGAWA) started. At the beginning of the day, a "reunion ceremony" was held to welcome the start of the second half of the school year with a new spirit. In the ice-breaker game, the participants enjoyed cooperating with each other while sharing their opinions. After that, we had a project called "Fly again ONAGAWA", in which we looked back on the events that left a deep impression on us during the first three days and declared our challenges for the second half. It was impressive to see the participants sharing the same vision of what they want to be after the summer school and thinking about how to achieve it together. In the afternoon, we set up a "Cross Lab" where students could freely talk about their hobbies as well as their studies. It was an opportunity for the students to deepen their thoughts about the future and discover their common interests. In the reflection session, we looked back on a day with a lot of output.

【HLAB Winter School Daily Report Vol.5】

サマースクール（HLAB MIYAGI-ONAGAWA）5日目が始まりました。「Discover ONAGAWA」では、TEAVER TEAFACTORYの内海康生さん、三陸石鹸工房KURIYAの厨勝義さんにお話をしていただきました。高校生の手元にはお茶または石鹸が届いており、お話を聞きながらお茶を飲んだり石鹸の香りを楽しんだりしました。女川に実際に行くことはできませんでしたが、女川を感じることができました。「メンターフリーインタラクション」では、興味分野が近いメンターと参加者が自由に話しました。もっと話してみたいメンターを見つける良い機会となりました。フォーラムでは認定NPO法人カタリバの今村久美さんにご講演していただきました。ワークショップ形式で、私はなぜ今ここにいるかを考え共有しました。また、認定NPO法人カタリバの佐藤敏郎さんには震災についてお話しいただきました。「Focus ONAGAWA」においては、女川の社会人の方々の熱い生き方に触れ、自分の生き方を見つめ直しました。リフレクションでは、女川について理解を深めた1日を振り返りました。

The fifth day of summer school (HLAB MIYAGI-ONAGAWA) has started. In the "Discover ONAGAWA '' session, Mr. Yasuo Utsumi of TEAVER TEAFACTORY and Mr. Katsuyoshi Kuriya of Sanriku Soap Factory Kuriya gave us a talk. The high school students received tea or soap and enjoyed drinking the tea and smelling the soap while listening to the talk. Although we were not able to actually visit Onagawa, we were able to feel Onagawa. In the "Mentor Free Interaction" session, participants talked freely with mentors who had similar interests. It was a good opportunity to find mentors with whom we would like to talk more. The forum featured a lecture by Ms. Kumi Imamura of Katariba (Approved Specified Non-Profit Organization). In the form of a workshop, each of us reviewed our own background and shared our thoughts on why we are here at the summer school. Mr. Toshiro Sato of Katariba , a certified NPO, gave a talk on the earthquake disaster. In the "Focus ONAGAWA'' session, we were able to experience the passionate way of life of working people in Onagawa and rethink our own way of life. In the reflection, we looked back on the day when we deepened our understanding of Onagawa.

【HLAB Winter School Daily Report Vol.6】

サマースクール（HLAB MIYAGI-ONAGAWA）6日目が始まりました。「Love yourself」では、自分の人生の谷となる部分を振り返り、言葉にしました。それぞれが自分に向き合う時間となりました。「コンパスワークショップ」は、自分の選択の軸となるコンパスを探し使い方を知ることを目的とする企画でした。「自己分析ワークショップ」のワークシートを基に自分のキーワードを書き出してみると、自分が大切にしている価値観が見えてきました。「応援企画」では、コンパスワークショップで決めた目標を全体で共有した上でそれぞれに向けて応援メッセージを送りあいました。応援をもらうことで、自分のコンパスがよりたしかなものになったのではないでしょうか。最後のリフレクションでは、あと1日でサマースクールが終わってしまうことを名残惜しく感じつつこれまでの学び全体を振り返りました。

The sixth day of summer school (HLAB MIYAGI-ONAGAWA) has started. In the "Love yourself" session, students reflected on negative experiences that have become valleys in their lives and put them into words. It was a time for each of us to face ourselves. "The Compass Workshop was designed to help participants find and learn how to use a compass to guide their choices. "By writing down key words based on the worksheet from the self-analysis workshop, we were able to discover the values that we hold dear. In the "Cheering Project", we shared the goals we had set in the Compass Workshop with the whole group and then sent messages of support to each other. By receiving support, I think the participants were able to make their own compasses more reliable. In the final reflection, the students looked back on their entire learning experience with a sense of regret that the summer school would be over in one day.

【HLAB Winter School Daily Report Vol.7】

サマースクール（HLAB MIYAGI-ONAGAWA）最終日となる7日目が始まりました。これまで6日間続いてきた朝のチャレンジタイムも最後となりました。「毎日継続したことで自信につながった」と清々しい表情で話す参加者の姿が印象的でした。「Mark with dots」では、サマースクール全体を振り返りそれぞれが得た学びを整理しました。点と点が繋がって線となるように、いつかこの学びが思いがけないことに生かされるかもしれません。最後に、サマースクールからの旅立ちと新たなスタートへの出発を応援する「出発式」を行いました。参加者が積極的に挙手し、サマースクールを通して得たことやこれから頑張りたいことについて共有してくれました。最後はメンターが「いってらっしゃい。」の言葉で送り出し、参加者は元気よく「いってきます。」と言って出発式を締めくくりました。今日をもって、MIYAGI-ONAGAWAでは7日間にわたるサマースクールが終了しました。サマースクール後も、参加者の皆さんそれぞれが自分を愛し自分の人生にわくわくしてくれることを願っております。

The seventh and final day of the summer school (HLAB MIYAGI-ONAGAWA) has begun. This was the last day of the morning challenge time that had been held for the past six days. "It was impressive to see the participants with refreshing expressions on their faces saying, "I gained confidence by continuing to do this every day. In the "Mark with dots" session, participants looked back on the entire summer school and organized what they had learned. As the dots connect to form a line, this learning may be utilized for something unexpected someday. Finally, a "departure ceremony" was held to support the participants' departure from the summer school and their new start. The participants actively raised their hands and shared what they gained through the summer school and what they would like to do in the future. At the end of the ceremony, the mentors sent the participants off with the words "Itterasshai.” and the participants cheerfully said "Ittekimasu.” . Today was the end of the 7-day summer school at MIYAGI-ONAGAWA. We hope that after the summer school, each of the participants will continue to love themselves and be excited about their own lives.
