Update Regarding the Rescheduled Release of HumiGal 0.2.4

Greetings, everyone! By the title, you might have guessed that we are unable to proceed with today's scheduled update, and we offer our deepest apologies for this setback.

In the last few weeks, our update pace has been slower than expected, leading us to the conclusion that we must address the problems we've accumulated to advance more effectively and swiftly. As a result, last week we meticulously organized and planned our development schedule, including optimization specifics.

In essence, we've recognized that development speed is essential, but not at the expense of quality. We need to maintain a balance between the two.

We sincerely appreciate everyone's understanding, support, and suggestions thus far. We're particularly grateful to those who have diligently reported bugs and offered valuable optimization feedback – your assistance has been crucial in our planning and prioritization of development tasks!

Now, let's update you on our forthcoming plans and arrangements!

Last week's progress

HumiHumi had the pleasure of welcoming a talented front-end engineer last week! With this expert's assistance, we're confident that both HumiGal and HumiHumi will offer a better and more seamless user experience.

We've restructured our development plan and will move forward with full throttle in the following sequence:

March:
Focus on optimization! Tackle the critical issues that have been built up over the last month, as well as implement some features urgently required for the creative process.

For the second quarter:
Enhance stability and eliminate lags – by developing a desktop version of the HumiGal engine.
Facilitate easier content creation – by developing a public asset library.
Boost the quality of presentations – by adding special effects capabilities.

We've also adjusted our update cycle.

HumiHumi updates will now occur biweekly. This change aims to allocate more time for refining and testing features, and to lessen the impact of weekly releases on development time.

Over the past few months, we've aimed for continuous rapid updates, but we've realized that each update consumes at least a full day, and a week is often too short to complete the development, testing, and optimization process to our satisfaction. We cannot compromise quality for speed.

We anticipate the next update will roll out on April 2nd. Despite the wait, we are committed to giving it our all.

Once again, we thank you for your understanding and support. The HumiHumi team will persist in our efforts to meet your expectations!

We eagerly await April 2nd, when HumiGal will greet you with significant improvements.

Update Forecast

  1. We will optimize the registration/login interface to default to email-based registration. This change will make it less likely for users to forget their accounts, and should they forget, account recovery via email will be a breeze.

  2. We're enhancing the HumiHumi reading feature by introducing voice playback, fast-forward, and game exit capabilities. We'll also be refining the user experience on the history record and settings pages.

  3. Improvements to HumiGal will include the introduction of freely configurable option jumps and the ability to start trial play from the current storyboard. Additionally, we'll be fixing bugs such as misaligned frames and the malfunctioning undo feature.

  4. We're optimizing server data to boost loading speeds even further. Users will also be able to download chapters ahead of time for offline play, complemented by a more visible download progress indicator.

  5. The HumiHumi home browsing experience will be enhanced by adding features for page realignment and browsing position memory.
