reminiscent...remind one of something

appease...make it peace

resuscitate...revive

disavow...deny

ameliorate...make something better

imminent...about to happen

corollary...a proposition from something proved before

palpable...clear

culpability...to be blame, guilty

prudence...cautiousness

preside...cf. president

ostensibly...apparently

belie...prove to be false

vociferate...shout, claim

mitigate...alleviate

serendipity...occurrence by chance
