What is Yukikaze?

"Yukikaze" means "Snow wind" in Japanese.
Yukikaze is a physical output device for the spectrum analyzer.
This device gives the computer the means to display a continuous amount.

Mechanism

This device is composed of two parts.

1.Case unit (contains powder-beads)
2.Fans unit (16 fans and 16 air flow guides)

I wrote FFT and easy PWM system to control this device on Max/MSP.

16 Fans are controled by the easy PWM system.

16 digital outputs of Gainer switches on/off 16 fans at cycle of 100ms.
And each fan blows up the powder-beads.

A stainless-steel mesh is used in the upper surface and the bottom of the case to ventilate it.

16 LEDs are attached on the upper surface as lighting.
I am spraying the electrification prevention on the case and the powder-beads.
