221014 True Silence

If you can make pitch darkness, you might be able to do it. But you might not be able to make true silence. Even in a soundproof room, controlling your body's sounds must be hard.

Since I was young, I've heard every genre of music, and it was always close to me. "No music, no life," actually. I've thought music precedes language historically, and language is part of the music.

The other day, I thought about how it would be without music in my daily life. And then I shut them out, and I found out something.

When you're in the city area, you can hear the sound of a refrigerator and other electrical devices in the room, an outdoor unit air conditioner, and wind from buildings, cars, ambulances, emergency vehicles, and so on.

Also, when you're in the countryside close to nature, the sound of birds, insects, the rustle of trees, and the faint sound of flight, is far from true silence.

You can close your eyes but can't complete your ears. People hear what they like to attend, and their audible range changes with age. What they hear depends on where they focus.

Daily information must be 98% of the noise; if you have ears for what you need. Avoiding the noise and concentrating your mind, you might get true silence. Or it might be only in your mind.
