人は流れ行く時に区切りと単位を設け、時間軸を創造した。サイボクで言えば4月に新たな1年がスタートとなり翌年の3月が期末となる。
物事の節目がくるといつも祖父が語っていた「竹の素晴らしさ」についての話を思い出す。
竹のしなやかさを作る「節」、そして物事の区切りを指す「節目」という言葉。わたしはこの竹の特性とメカニズムが好きで、わりと「節目」を大切にして暮らしている方だと思う。
そしてそれは現代において大切にすべきものではないだろうかと感じている。
今日に生きるわたし達はみな忙しく、何かに追われている。ハック、時短、効率化によって生み出されたはずの時間は、他の何かのために瞬時に埋まってしまう。
ここには終わりがない。きっと物事の節目に立ち止まることは、時間の波に攫われないための知恵なのかもしれない。
それは忙しなさの中で、立ち止まるということど同義だからだ。

People set up units and breaks in time, and a timeline was born. For example, in my company, the new year starts in April. Whenever there is a milestone, I always remember what my grandfather used to say about the 'splendour of bamboo'.
Knots are what make bamboo flexible. And the word 'knot' refers to a break in things. I like the characteristics and mechanism of bamboo, and I incorporate them into my daily life in my own way.
Today, we are all busy and busy with something. So the time that should have been created by hacks, shortening time and improving efficiency is instantly filled with something else. There is no end in sight.
We have been hacked by corporations and are the object of a battle for disposable time. It's becoming hard to know whether our lives are becoming more comfortable or deprived as we go through the motions.
Perhaps stopping at milestones is wisdom to avoid being kidnapped by the waves of time.
