問題：History shows that people are becoming more civilized.
Agree or Disagree.

イントロ

Although it is so difficult to define the meaning of the “civilized, I think that it depends on the perspectives.

ボディ１

We can say “we are civilized” when we talk about the scientific field.
We can fly to the other side of the planet within a day, and we are trying to seek the way of living in the other planets.
Also, when we talk about “civilized”, freedom of expression is important.
After the billions of deaths, we finally got this right. So I think this is the huge step for human beings.

However, we have still many tings to do to say, “we are civilized”.
For example, racial discrimination is still one of the big problems in the
world.
A few years ago, a black man was killed by a white cop, and because of that, Black Lives Matter movement got intense in the U.S.
And the international peace has never been realized. We experienced two world wars in the past and it killed the countless number of the people.
However, Russia is invading Ukraine, and it is said that China is about to invade Taiwan.
Some people say WWⅢ is about to break out.
So, we need much more effort to make.

結論

For those reasons, I cannot say “we are civilized” or not because It really depends on the meaning of “civilized”.

・is it important to learn from the history?

Definitely yes, especially we need to learn from the mistakes our ancestors have made not to repeat the same mistakes. As old saying goes, the fool man learn from his own experience and the wise man learn from other’s mistakes. Now, we are in the difficult situation when we talk about the international things. We really need to look back at the past and learn from them.

・What do you think Japan’s role should be in the world today?

It is a really difficult question to answer but I think that the importance of Japan will be recognized more in someways. Especially, as I mentioned, it is said that China is about to invade Taiwan and Japan might be a part of the war. So we need to discuss about many things including changing Japanese constitution and if it is needed, we have to get ready for the situation.

・Will Asia dominate the world stage in the near future?

I cannot see the future like that. To be honest, many Americans and Europeans doesn’t like to see us take a control of the world. As we have made progresses, they put emphasis on “green energy” and accused us of making too much pollution and gas. But they started first and I was like “what?”. So as long as they take the control, I don’t think that we can take the control.

・モデルスピーチ見ると“it depends ”で濁して両方の意見言ってて、
　意見明らかにせんくてええんかい！ってなった。
　それできたらむちゃくちゃ楽やん。ええこと知った。
・最初に“Although it is difficult to”みたいな感じで譲歩することができる
　ようになったのはいいんじゃないかしら。
・最初は全くできんかったけど、アイデア思いついたらなんとか口が
　ちょっとだけ動くようになったからとりあえずはよし。
・二回目は今までで一番良かった。キーワードとアイデアさえあれば
　なんとかなるかも？とりあえず使える単語と話題の引き出しをもっと
　増やす必要がある。

改善点

・1回目の時2個目の意見が思いつかんかった。というか問いの「市民化」
（モデルスピーチ見たら文明化が正しい）の意味漠然としすぎてこれで
　あってるんかってなった。
・最初勢い良かっただけに尻すぼみになるのどうにかしたいわねー。
・というか全然喋れなさ過ぎて萎えるな、フィリピンいた時の方が瞬発力と　　
　か考えたらマシやったんちゃう？あと三週間でどこまでいけるかな。
