Blog about Oka Nozomi

Oka Nozomi. She is an independent adviser from Tokyo. She graduated from Keio university and then, she is working as a B Corp Consultant.

She is aiming to solve food loss problem and be sustainable world.

She is focusing on employment assistance for people with criminal records. The reason for this is that it is very difficult for people with criminal records. When submitting their resumes, they are almost always dropped because of their criminal record. Therefore, a person who has been dropped may repeat the offense again. She is helping them to eliminate that possibility.

I believe that it is important to make my own decisions and form my own opinions, rather than simply following the lead of others, such as teachers or other authority figures. I was particularly impressed by something that my professor, Miyaguchi sensei, once said: “Don’t jump in part-time job which you don’t interested. Because students might be discriminated by name of university.”Students from our universities are often discriminated against in the job market, so it's important to be selective about the jobs you apply for."
I think this advice is very wise. It's important to be true to yourself and to pursue your own interests, even if it means making some sacrifices. If you take a job that you're not interested in, you're not likely to be happy or successful. And if you're discriminated against because of your university, it's even more important to stand up for yourself and to refuse to settle for less.
I'm grateful for Miyaguchi sensei's advice, and I'm trying to follow it in my own life. I'm still young, and I'm still making mistakes, but I'm learning to trust my own judgment and to stand up for what I believe in. I think that's an important lesson for anyone, regardless of their age or background.
