７月１０日、快晴の旭川で、れいわ新選組から比例区で参院議員に立候補している、安冨歩（あゆみ）・東京大学東洋文化研究所教授の選挙を一日お手伝いしてきました。
わたしは数年前にこちらの記事を読んで以来、安冨先生の大ファンなのです。

彼女が昨年、埼玉県の東松山市長選に立候補した時は衝撃でした。
なぜなら、彼女の選挙戦も演説も、このうえなく素晴らしかったからです。
「子どもを守ること」を唯一の公約に掲げ、１６歳の少年が暴行死した事件の舞台である市内の河川敷で花を手向けて祈り、馬やチンドン屋を連れて街を練り歩き、駅前で音楽ライブを敢行する。
選挙カーで街宣する時も、ラップに乗せて一見ふざけた感じでメッセージを流し、何より、やっている本人たちが一番楽しそうだった。
一方で、彼女の主張は本当に真剣で、あまりにも本質を突いている。
彼女のある日の演説の中の、さらにごく一部を抜粋したのが以下です。（テープ起こししてくださった方、どうもありがとうございます）

最近の、モリカケ問題とかで、東京大学を卒業し、エリート省庁の本当にトップエリートにまで上り詰めた人々が、平然とですね、ニヤニヤしながらいい加減な嘘をついて政治家に媚を売るという様子を見てですね、何であんなに優れたエリートたちがあんなことをするのだろうという風に皆さんは思っておられるかもしれませんが、それは間違っている。何でエリートなのにではなくて、あれは、エリート中のエリートだからするっていうことなんですね。そのような人々によって、指導されている国は、必然的に子供たちに非常に強い圧力や抑圧を加えるということになります。

ですから、その現代のシステムは、そのような学歴エリートに有利なように、学歴エリートといったから、肯定されるように、設計されています。なので、ごく普通にこのようなシステムの中で子供を普通に育てるということは、そういったシステムの中に、子供の魂を投げ込むっていうことになります。私が、「子供を守ろう」といっているのは、そういう意味です。現代社会で、普通だと思われているようなことに、子供を普通に育ててしまうと、子供の魂を踏み潰してしまうことになる。

今回の参院選でも彼女は、自分のyoutubeチャンネルで「子どもを守るとは」「選挙とは」「お金とは」「税金とは」と言ったテーマでの１０分間レクチャーを色々アップしていますが、（どれもすごく勉強になります！）その中でも改めて選挙について、とても本質的なことを語っています。

選挙について、

システムの作動を停止させるような者は（選挙で）勝利しない。だから選挙に勝ったということは、システムの一部になったと言っても過言ではない。ハハハハ。

その、ちょうど１年後に、わたしは彼女の選挙をにわか選対員としてお手伝いできることになりました。（なぜそれが可能になったかは話せば長いので省略）
