IGNEAは、女性ボーカリストHelle Bogdanovaを擁する5人編成の中東フォークの趣があるシンフォニック／プログレッシヴ・メタルバンド。

最新作は、2023年4月28日リリースの3rdフルアルバム「Dreams of Lands Unseen」。ヘヴィなボトムラインに中東を思わせるメロディが乗り、そこにHelleの物憂げなボーカルが絡む、魅力的な作品。
このアルバムは、第一次世界大戦の頃のウクライナの写真家／ドキュメンタリー作家Sofia Yablonskaをコンセプトに作られたものになっている。

IGNEAのメンバーは、Helle Bogdanova (Vo.)、Xander Kamyshin (Ba.)、Ivan Kholmohorov (Dr.)、Dmitry Vinnichenko (Gt.)、Evgeny Zhytnyuk (Key.)。

IGNEA is a symphonic/progressive metal band with a Middle Eastern folk flavor, consisting of five members and featuring female vocalist Helle Bogdanova.

Their latest release is the 3rd full album titled "Dreams of Lands Unseen", which was released on April 28th, 2023. The album features heavy bottom lines with melodies reminiscent of the Middle East, and Helle's melancholic vocals add to its charm. The concept for this album was inspired by Sofia Yablonska, a Ukrainian photographer and documentary filmmaker from around the time of World War I.
