Sharply Increased Fake Items though EC

Recent exploding EC markets during covit-19 made ton of counterfeit sales opportunities from Asian sellers.
Not only US and Europe, Asian Countries are involved in the secret war against counterfeit imports activities.
In the 1st Q & 2nd Q 2020, JP import suspension cases were increased 20%.

JP Gov. has decided to intensify crackdown on illegal counterfeit imports from other Asian countries.
In JP Trademark Law, the import items for private use were outside of protection.

The police at airports could not seize the fake items if the import items were for private use purpose.
However, JP Customs will change their regulation very soon for this issue because of increased fake items though EC, sharply.
Now, JP Gov. released they will change the Law in 2021 and start to seize the fake items even though items are for private use purpose.

Social issues

Other Asian countries are similar to Japan.
S. Korea is facing to social big issues of EC Counterfeit sales.
KPO announced they received more than double amounts of reports telling fake items in EC markets.
ASEAN Countries are more serious condition and DIP announced more than Four times amounts of reports through EC trades.

Customs in S. Korea, Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia cannot organize enough officers and they decided to stop their investigations anymore.
They recommend people who made reports of EC fraud, just to file deletion requests against the seller accounts to EC platforms.

Fake sellers will be hopping to another account and re-open their businesses in the same EC.
