日本でよく使う「よろしくお願いします」

今回はこれについてのポイントをお話ししようと思います。

How do you say "yoroshiku onegai shimasu" in English?

「よろしくお願いします」は英語で何と言う？

It's one of those tricky words and unfortunately there is no direct translation for this phrase. But depending on the situation there are different phrases that can be used.
これはややこしい言葉で、残念ながら直訳することができないフレーズです。でも、場面によって異なったフレーズで使うことができます。

Here are some examples:
いくつかの例をご紹介。

No 1:

"Hajimemashite Jackie desu. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu." in English is "Nice to meet you. I’m Jackie.". That's pretty straight forward.

「初めましてジャッキーです。よろしくお願いします」は英語で
"Nice to meet you. I’m Jackie.”となります。これは結構簡単です。

No 2:

In Japan before people get into the topic of their speech or at the start of a meeting they often say "Minasan kyo (mo) yoroshiku onegaishimasu". In English you can say "Thank you very much for coming" or "Thank you very much for taking the time to meet", or "Thank you for having me/us".

日本ではスピーチやミーティングを始める時、度々「みなさん今日もよろしくお願いします」と言うことがあります。
英語では "Thank you very much for coming"か "Thank you very much for taking the time to meet”または、"Thank you for having me/us”と言うことができます。

No 3:

Using "yoroshiku onegaishimasu" when talking to colleagues, business partners, or clients you can say "I look forward to doing business with you" or "I look forward to working with you", and when somebody is starting work at a new job they can say, "I look forward to joining the team", "I look forward to being a part of your team".

同僚やビジネスパートナー、顧客と話して「よろしくお願いします」を言う時は、 "I look forward to doing business with you"か "I look forward to working with you”それから、誰かが新しい仕事に入って始める時は
 "I look forward to joining the team”、"I look forward to being a part of your team”と言うことができます。
