2018年11月末のグループ展「第４回ＩＫＥの会」に出展した絵本、『楽園』を公開します。2019年３月の「もやい展金沢」では、原画を全て展示しました。

はじめに

　原子力は、最初は原子爆弾として開発されました。放射能という強力なエネルギーで高温の熱を出し、身体に様々な影響を与えます。

　そんな大きなエネルギーを発電に使おうとしたのが、原子力発電です。エネルギーが大きいぶん、たくさん発電することが出来ます。しかし発電の過程で、たくさんの危険なゴミが出ます。そのゴミは今の人間の技術では、土深く埋めることしか出来ません。

　そのため、原子力発電は新たな技術、エネルギーがみつかるまでの「つなぎ」でした。にもかかわらず、軍事転用のために世界中に普及していきました。

Introduction

"Nuclear Power" was developed at first for the atomic bomb. This intense radioactive energy emits heat at extreme temperatures, which also negatively impacts the human body.

Nuclear power is now used to generate electricity in gigantic amounts. More energy means more electricity. However, in the process, we are burdened with many dangerous radioactive by-products. Even with man’s present technology, the only way to dispose of this waste is to bury it in deep landfills.

Nuclear power is a "bridging technology" until new technologies and forms of energy are discovered. Nonetheless, the development of nuclear power has continually spread worldwide for military use.

2011年3月　大きな地震と津波が起き　福島第一原子力発電所が爆発した

In March 2011, a big earthquake and tsunami devastated the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant causing it to explode.

放射能が降りそそいで　町には誰もいなくなった

Radioactive material dispersed, and everyone disappeared from the towns.

それから時は過ぎ　一部で避難指示は解除された

Eventually time passed, and the evacuation order in some areas was lifted.

今も放射能を　取り除く仕事は続く

Even now decontamination work is still ongoing.

人は少ししか帰らない

Only a scant few of the residents came back.

病院もお店もないし　放射線量も高いから

There are no hospitals nor shops, and the radiation level is still high.

家族や友達がみんな　はなればなれになったから

Families and friends have been split apart.

あの日のまま　止まった町

Time stopped that day in the towns.

今もあの日のまま　止まった町で

Even now it is at a standstill.

息づく命　美しき生きものたち

Living their lives, these beautiful creatures.

生きものたちは　人がいない町を走り回っている

Creatures run around towns where people no longer exist.

そこはとても　美しい世界

It is a very beautiful world.

人なんて　この土地には　いらないのかもしれない

This land may not need human beings anymore.

ただ　大切な故郷として　そこにあれば

But, it is a precious homeland to many.

またいつか
See you again someday.
