December 31 Year-End Countdown Event Canceled

The year-end countdown event in front of Shibuya Station that the Shibuya Countdown Executive Committee has organized since 2016 to realize an orderly New Year’s Eve in the area has unfortunately been canceled, making this the third year in a row.
As announced in the city newsletter and on the city website, Shibuya will implement safety measures to reduce crowding and congestion around Hachiko Plaza and the scramble crossing during the year-end and New Year’s holidays based on the Ordinance on Ensuring a Safe and Secure Environment around Shibuya Station. These measures will include limiting alcohol consumption in public places around Shibuya Station, a request for area stores to limit alcohol sales, and security patrols. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
In addition, with the cooperation of the companies that manage the large screens around the scramble intersection, advertisements and other images that would normally be playing until midnight will stop at 11 p.m.
While the area will not be adding anything to the festivities, if you still plan to celebrate here, please observe good manners and morals. We hope that you welcome the New Year in good health and good spirits.

关于12月31日年末倒计时活动的中止

涩谷车站周边的年末倒计时活动由“涩谷倒计时执行委员会”主办,从2016年末开始为了在涩谷车站周边实现有秩序跨年而举办,但继前年和去年仍决定中止。
区宣传报、区网站等已发布通知,涩谷区今年年末年初期间,为了减少八公前广场和十字路口周边人流密集停留的风险,遵照“确保涩谷站周边地区安全、放心的环境的相关条例”,计划实施涩谷站周边的公共场所限制饮酒,要求酒类销售自律,采取警备等安全对策。敬请大家理解和配合。
此外,在管理多方向十字路口环绕大屏幕的各公司协助下,通常播放至24点的广告影像等,将在23点停止播放。
节前夜的涩谷站周边地区虽然没有跨年盛会的热闹要素,但还是希望来访的人能遵守礼仪和道德,健康地迎接新年。

12월 31일 연말 카운트 다운 이벤트 취소에 대해

시부야역 앞에서 열리던 연말 카운트 다운 이벤트는 ‘시부야 카운트 다운 실행 위원회’가 주최가 되어 2016년 말부터 시부야역 주변에서 질서 있는 송구영신을 실현하기 위해 개최해 왔지만, 재작년, 작년에 이어 취소가 결정되었습니다.
구 홍보지, 구 웹사이트 등에 이미 공지하고 있지만 시부야구에서는 올해도 연말연시에 걸쳐 하치코마에 광장이나 스크램블 교차로 주변에 사람이 밀집해 체류하는 위험을 줄이기 위해 ‘시부야역 주변 지역의 안전하고 안심할 수 있는 환경 확보에 관한 조례’에 따라 시부야역 주변 공공 장소에서의 음주 제한과 주류 판매 자제 의뢰, 경비 등의 안전 대책 등을 실시할 예정입니다. 여러분의 이해와 협력을 부탁드립니다.
또한 스크램블 교차로를 둘러싸고 있는 대형 비전을 관리하는 각 사의 협력을 얻어 평소 24시간 광고 영상 등이 방영되던 것을 이날은 23시에 방영을 종료합니다.
섣달 그믐날 시부야역 주변 지역에서는 송구영신의 순간을 달아오르게 하는 요소는 없지만, 내방하는 분들께서는 매너와 윤리를 지켜주시고, 건강하게 새해를 맞이해 주실 것을 진심으로 부탁드립니다.
