Recent Updates

■ If you press the Like button during the livestream, hearts will fall from the sky!

REALITY was updated recently with a new feature that makes hearts fall from the sky based on how many times the “Like” button was pressed during that livestream!

※This new feature is only available for streamers who use Android devices, we ask politely that iOS users please wait for a little bit more for the support in their devices.
※The hearts do not have any free point nor coin value, and do not count towards score.

■The layout of the event list has been updated!

Until now, we would click the “Notifications” tab and then choose from [Activity / Events / News], but now we have a separate event tab in which we can find the options [Currently Available / Upcoming / Unavailable]. We hope that it’s easier to navigate and understand about the events now!

■New Gacha Announcement

The "Sweet Patisserie Gacha" featuring gorgeous sweets and patisseries is now available!
In addition to the sweets dresses and pastry sets, there are also cake hats, color contacts, and other gorgeous items!

Future Updates

■You will now be able to use the Video Chat feature within the chat!

We have been receiving requests from users who want to enjoy video chatting with some of their friends, and with this feature improvement, you will be able to enjoy video chatting with "chat partners" or "group chat participants only"!

Depending on where you start the video chat from, the possible participants will be different:
・If you start it from [Home > Following], the mutual follows of the participants (whether host or guests) will be able to join the video chat,
・If you start it from the [Chat] menu, only the person you’re chatting with (one person) will be able to join it. If you start it from a Group Chat menu, that group chat participants will be able to join it.

REALITY shares the opinions and requests received from our users within the company and accumulates them as a list of opinions and requests. We would like to introduce some of the opinions and requests received from our users regarding the functions and events currently implemented in REALITY.

■ Opinions and requests received

・I want more avatar slots!
・I want the bugs and glitches fixed.
・Please address the chat spamming problem (chat room invitations from strangers).
・I'd like to see the features released for Android also supported on iOS.

The above is currently being considered for new features and content modifications.

We've received a lot of feedback about the "chat spamming" issue, and we're considering putting in a request to invite people to chat rooms when they are not following each other. Please wait a little bit more for that improvement.

This month, I would like to introduce one of the things that REALITY is working hard on lately..
That is Trust and Safety..

Recently, REALITY has been used by many people around the world, and I am very happy to see that more and more people are able to "We can be whoever we want".
On the other hand, as the number of people increases, there will inevitably be people who will cause trouble, or who will do bad things to make money.

REALITY aims to be a platform where hundreds of millions of people around the world can interact with each other in a safe and fun way, so we need to strengthen our measures to achieve this goal.
For example, you may be added to a group chat by someone you don't know, you may receive a chat that directs you to a scam site, or you may suddenly find someone harassing you during a livestream.
In order to avoid this kind of situation for everyone, we are working hard on the enhancement of privacy functions, message filters, and banning malicious accounts.

If you see this kind of nuisance yourself, please use the report function to report it with detailed information. All reports will be reviewed and appropriate action will be taken after verifying the facts.
(It would be great if you could refrain from tweeting warnings or exposing annoying users, as they are not very effective and can be considered harassment.)

The REALITY team will work even harder, but if we can get the cooperation of users, we can make improvements even faster, so we would be very happy if you could help us make REALITY an even better place to be in!

I’ll do my best streaming in 2022! or so I hoped, but I haven’t done it even once… I’ll do my best. If you happen to find my stream, I’m counting on you!

This time, since the timing is just right, I'd like to focus on a topic that is in season for REALITY development.

■Do you guys remember the REALITY Update Showcase that happened in the end of the last year?

The chat feature evolution was announced in a big (but just quickly) way, right!
In fact, we've been working very hard on this, and most of the recent REALITY development has been focused on improving and enhancing this chat function, and I've been focusing on it as well.

The current REALITY chat is pretty bleak, or rather, there's nothing there.
For those of us who use LINE, Discord, etc. as a matter of course (myself included),
we end up thinking “why isn’t there a feature like this?” when we look at the chat.

Also, since the release of the chat feature it has not been improved over the years, and there's been some problems with it.
For example not being able to send images properly, being added to groups with users that you don't know, and there are a number of serious and difficult issues in parallel.
It is difficult for people to use the service with peace of mind, we think.
As the number of REALITY users have increased, for the sake of everyone being able to use the application more safely and comfortably,
We've been working and focusing on improving the communication features at a rapid pace.
The chat feature is now in the spotlight and being improved with quick speed.

Some of them have been released more recently than others,
and there are many chat-related features in development that we are looking forward to, so please continue to wait for more information on future improvements and new features.
