Our Approach to Safety

At REALITY, you can break free from the constraints of the real world to become “whoever you want” and express yourself in several ways. 
We have users who actively pursue their dreams and objectives, users who support those giving their best in their activities, users who just want to enjoy a relaxed REALITY lifestyle, and many other forms of becoming whoever you want. 

In order to make REALITY a place where many people can connect and engage in a variety of activities, we believe that it is necessary to make REALITY a safe environment for the community to use. We have been working on various initiatives such as strengthening audits and developing functions to make REALITY safer. On the other hand, we have not disclosed to you our specific efforts and the number of detections to date.

To ensure that everyone can enjoy REALITY with peace of mind, we have decided to launch a Transparency Report this month to disclose the number of issues that have been addressed, our efforts to improve safety, problems reported by users, and our policy for resolving these issues. The Transparency Report will be updated monthly.

Numbers of Cases Handled - March 2024

In March, the number of fraudulent activities related to events decreased significantly due to the renewal of the gift and event system, resulting in a significant decrease in the number of penalties and temporary account suspensions. However, the number of accounts suspended for selling activities increased, resulting in a slight increase in permanent suspensions. The number of account suspensions for users under 13 years old decreased for the second consecutive month, reaching the lowest number in the past six months.

Efforts in March 2024

Improvements to the Block Feature

We have released an improvement to the blocking feature in late March, as we have been informing since past Transparency Reports. This improvement allows comments from users you have blocked to be hidden during third-party streams. With this enhancement, you can now enjoy watching streams without being aware of the presence of blocked users when viewing the same stream as them. With this release, all planned improvements to the blocking feature have been completed. If you have any further requests for feature improvements in the future, we would appreciate it if you could inform us through surveys or other means.

About Feedback to the Reports received

In the previous month's report, we informed you that we were considering providing feedback on the reports we received to alleviate concerns such as "there is no feedback from the administration even after reporting, so I don't know if my reports were properly done.”
Regarding this matter, we have decided to send notifications to those who have submitted reports that have resulted in penalties. These notifications will be sent out not for individual reports, but for reports received within a certain period, summarizing any reports that have resulted in penalties. At present, we plan to send out notifications approximately twice a month.
We hope that these notifications will be helpful for you to understand "what actions constitute a violation of the terms of service."

Announcement of the start of the Global Moderator Program

At REALITY, we have been implementing various measures such as strengthening responses to reports and implementing moderator functions to make various communities more enjoyable and safer for everyone.
However, we continue to receive feedback on strengthening surveillance measures and penalties when conducting surveys, inquiries, and direct conversations with everyone.
Therefore, we have decided to recruit "Global Moderators" to assist in monitoring REALITY in order to aim for a healthier community.
Details will be announced soon, so please wait for a while longer. We kindly ask for your cooperation in making the REALITY community more enjoyable and safer.
