Our Approach to Safety

At REALITY, you can break free from the constraints of the real world to become “whoever you want” and express yourself in several ways. 
We have users who actively pursue their dreams and objectives, users who support those giving their best in their activities, users who just want to enjoy a relaxed REALITY lifestyle, and many other forms of becoming whoever you want. 

In order to make REALITY a place where many people can connect and engage in a variety of activities, we believe that it is necessary to make REALITY a safe environment for the community to use. We have been working on various initiatives such as strengthening audits and developing functions to make REALITY safer. On the other hand, we have not disclosed to you our specific efforts and the number of detections to date.

To ensure that everyone can enjoy REALITY with peace of mind, we have decided to launch a Transparency Report this month to disclose the number of issues that have been addressed, our efforts to improve safety, problems reported by users, and our policy for resolving these issues. The Transparency Report will be updated monthly.

Number of Cases Handled - October 2023

In October, the number of reports increased due to the renewal of the reporting function carried out in late September, resulting in an increase in penalty cases. We received numerous reports, particularly regarding users under the age of 13, leading to a record number of restrictions on users under 13. Additionally, there was a significant increase in the overall number of permanent usage restrictions from the previous month, as we strengthened measures against actions seeking encounters.

Efforts in October 2023

Strengthening measures against users seeking encounters or dating online

Since October, we have been enhancing measures against users who use the app trying to seek encounters and as a dating app. As stated in the terms of use, actions deemed by the operation to have the primary purpose of seeking or inducing encounters are subject to penalties. Currently, the most frequently observed behavior is the solicitation of encounters (dating) during broadcasts (including broadcast titles), and there are also many broadcasts soliciting encounters targeting minors. Regarding actions such as making calls for encounters or seeking encounters with minors to the general public, in order to maintain a certain public order and protect the safety of minors, we will continue to strengthen enforcement. We kindly request that you refrain from engaging in activities that violate the terms and guidelines. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Problems related to Gacha Ticket Exchange

Currently, in REALITY, there is a feature that allows users to send 'Gacha Tickets' as gifts while watching broadcasts. This feature is provided with the intention of supporting the streamer, and the exchange of Gacha Tickets for personal use is not officially supported.

Occasionally, reports citing Gacha Ticket exchange issues are submitted. However, as the aforementioned transactions are not endorsed officially, the administration does not intervene in disputes between users.

To avoid unnecessary issues, we kindly ask users to refrain from sending Gacha Tickets for purposes other than support. Thank you for your understanding.
