Textbooks and workbooks #For Japanese language learners

Here are books that we use at our school / we recommend to study with.
When you study or take our classes, textbooks are a must, workbooks are strongly recommended.

※As long as I know, you can get these on Japanese Amazon or bookstores in Japan cheaper than elsewhere.
※If you'd like to send books to our school instead of your address, please let us know.

- Genki series

Genki is widely used in many schools around the world, and is a renowned series of integrated resources.  I like it because it has well-balanced approach to all four language skill areas—speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
Mary, the main character of the book, is a university exchange student. So some of the expressions focus on classroom Japanese esp. in the first book.

- Minna no Nihongo みんなの日本語

This is another popular series for Japanese language learners.
There is no English featured in the main textbook for Minna no Nihongo (the translation can be found in a separate workbook).  So if you are studying by yourself or if you are a complete beginner, you may want to start with Genki.
Though some of my adult students prefer this series.  The reason I think why is that the main character is a worker in Japanese company so it's suitable for people who are working in Japan.
