“ウタヨミビト”の9thシングル『薄の尾花』は、「万葉集」や「古今和歌集」「新古今和歌集」などで数多く詠まれ、秋風に揺れるその姿から“尾花”と喩えられる“ハギの穂”の和歌をモチーフとして巧みに現代語訳し、紡ぎ合わせた作品。
“ポルトガルギター(ギターラ・ポルトゲッサ)”が奏でるポルトガル音楽“ファド”をベースに、沖縄の三線を由来とする新たな楽器”四線”の響きを融合させ、ユーラシア大陸を遠く隔てた東西二つのサウンドを結び付けた郷愁感-サウダージ-溢れるユニークな音世界を繰り広げます。

Music arrangement of this song is based on Portuguese popular music "fado".
We play it by the Portugal guitar called "guitarra Portuguessa" and to crossover the far eastern music culture, we also use the Okinawan-Japanese new music instrument "yonshin" which is developed from traditional sanshin.
The lyrics sung in Japanese are improvised from the Japanese poetry called "tanka".
The motif of this song is beautiful ear "silver grass" which was written in the oldest collection of Japanese poetry "Manyoushu", "Kokin-wakashu" and "Shin-kokin-wakashu.
