こちらの撮影の際、日本のある地方を訪れ、約1ヶ月の大半の間キャンプをしました。その際に地元の方に多大なるご協力をいただきましたことを心より感謝申し上げます。

また、地元の方とのビーチクリーンでプラスチックを拾い集めていただいたおかげで作ることができた作品でもあります。
重ね重ね感謝です。

私は、写真のちからとして、自分では見えないものを見て、知らないことを知ることがことができるという点があると思っています。

私達人間がこの地球に及ぼす影響。

そして、地球が持つ強大な力、またすべてを巻き込んでいく海の持つ力。

それは日本の海沿いに住んでいる方は日々感じておられることだと思います。私はそれを都市の人に、また世界中の人に伝わるようにという考えでこちらの制作に取り組みました。

地球の持つ力と人間の営みについて考えを馳せていただければ幸いです。

I have been selected as one of the ten artists for KG+SELECT.

During the shoot, I visited a region in Japan and spent the majority of a month camping. I am deeply grateful for the significant assistance provided by the local community during this time.

This work was also made possible by collecting plastics with the locals during a beach clean-up, for which I am doubly thankful.

I believe in the power of photography to see the invisible and to learn the unknown.

The impact that we humans have on this planet.

And the immense force of the Earth, as well as the power of the seas that engulf everything.

I think this is something that those living along the coasts of Japan feel on a daily basis. I embarked on this creation with the intention of conveying these feelings not just to urbanites but also to people worldwide.

I hope it encourages reflection on the power of the Earth and human activities. I am looking forward to showing it to you all in Kyoto this spring!
