What is Tableau Data Saber? 

Understand the world through data, keep making effort to tell it others, move others' mind and make them act, this is the Data Saber.

Why I do? - なぜやるのか?

• To improve my work of management accounting - 業績管理の業務を改善するため

Currently I am utilizing Tableau chart to manage the sales and cost in my team. I want to improve the efficiency and accuracy by expanding the expression and simplify connections from database and structure.
売上・費用管理のためにTableauのチャートを運用しているが、当初導入した際に見よう見まねで必死で作ったつぎはぎの結果…という状態なので、網羅的な知識を身につけることで表現の幅を広げる、データベースからの接続や構造をシンプルにして、効率・正確性のUPにつなげる。

• To make my work fun -仕事を楽しくするため

I believe expanding my skill and having useful tool and weapon will my work life fun. Also I have seen strong connection of Tableau user's through fun events and interactive cooperation on QA board, then I felt I want to join that.
自由に使える道具・武器をもつことで仕事を楽しくできると思う。またTableauはユーザー同士のつながりが強く、楽しそうなイベントやQAでの助け合いを目にしてきたので、仲間に入ってみたいと思った。 

What I do? - なにをするのか?

• 1. Technical assignment -技術課題

Get full scores for 10 assignments.
10問の技術課題を満点でクリアする

• 2. Community activities -コミュニティ活動

Get 50 points by doing community activity for both public and internal organization.
パブリック、組織内向けのコミュニティ活動を行い50ポイントを得る

With who? - だれと一緒に?

• 1. Teacher -師匠

このプログラムに参加するためには師匠を見つけることが必要。私の場合は社内で挑戦者募集してくれている師匠がいて、参加することに。
It is required to find your teacher to join this program. In my case, I had a teacher within the company who was recruiting challengers, and I decided to participate.

• 2. Apprentices -挑戦者仲間

There were about 400 apprentices from all over Japan when I joined, we can follow Twitter each other to exchange information.
私が参加したときには全国から400名ほどの挑戦者が参加していた。Twitterをフォローしあうなどして情報交換しながらすすめる。

期間は3か月。Tableauの知識にも偏りがあり、不安もあったが、自分へプレッシャーをかけるためにもほかの人と一緒にすすめるこのプログラムに参加することに決めました。
The period is three months. I had some uneven knowledge of Tableau and some anxiety, but I decided to participate in this program, which proceeds with others, to put pressure on myself.
