クリムゾンキングの宮殿を初めて聴いたのは中学生だったと思う
凄いインパクトのあるレコードジャケット！に圧倒された、こーゆーレコードジャケットの楽しみが無い、CDやサブスク配信の現代の音楽好きはかわいそうだぞ
そして１曲目、21st Century Schizoid Manが始まる、ちょーカッコイイんですけど、ナニコレ、ボーカルどうなってるの？昭和の中学生には何もわからない
Googleが無い、インターネットが無い、そもそもパソコンが無い、調べようがない
しかし2曲目以降になるとさっぱり面白く無い、ロックはキッスしか知らない様な中学生には、プログレ？わからん？でした
それから数年後、ノヴェラのおかげでプログレも好きになり
数十年後の今では2曲目のI Talk to the Windが好きになってしまった
21st Century Schizoid Manの不協和音の直後に始まるこの曲、21st Century Schizoid Manとは対照的に、穏やかでシンプル、Ian McDonaldのフルートがひたすら美しい、心穏やかになる曲です、私年寄？
そういえばこのI Talk to the Windだけ曲名の後の(including ナンチャラ) ってのが無いよね？

I think I was in middle school when I first heard “In The Court Of The Crimson King”.I was overwhelmed by the impressive record jacket! I feel sorry for the modern music lovers who don’t have the pleasure of this kind of record jacket, and who use CDs or subscribe to music.
The first song, 21st Century Schizoid Man, starts, and it’s really cool, but what’s going on with the vocals? A junior high school student in the Showa era doesn’t know anything.No Google no internet, no computer to begin with.
But after the second song, it’s not interesting at all, and for a middle schooler who only knows rock music from Kiss, progressive rock? I don’t know. That was it.
A few years later, thanks to the Japanese rock band Novela, I also fell in love with progressive rock.Now, decades later, I love “I Talk to the Wind”.
This song starts right after the cacophony of 21st Century Schizoid Man, and in contrast to 21st Century Schizoid Man, it is calm and simple, and Ian McDonald’s flute is just beautiful, it is a peaceful song, am I oldman?
By the way, only I Talk to the Wind doesn’t have “including …..” after the song title, right?
