Mariah is a Japanese band. The band was made up of studio musicians led by saxophonist Yasuaki Shimizu, and debuted with the album “YENトリックス YEN Trix” in 1980. The band disbanded in 1983 after the album “うたかたの日々 Utakata no Hibi”.

Mariah is a band that is difficult to categorize depending on the time period, and includes elements of jazz, fusion, hard rock, progressive rock, techno, and new wave. They are often described as Jazz Fusion or Progressive Rock.
