Database

Relational Database Management Systems are the backbone of electronic data storage for decades. They provide support for arranging data in an organized, Indexed, and easily searchable format. HL7

HL7 (Health Level 7) is an internationally used standard to exchange clinical and administrative data between health care entities. Interoperable systems. HL7 standards offer appropriately solutions pertaining to mobility. Messages and documents are transmitted in a minimum lower layer protocol and supported by legacy systems. HL7 Version 2 standard is the most widely implemented standard in health care domain. It is supported by majority of the common interfaces because of its simplicity, cost effective and backward compatible framework. HL7 Version 3 provides Reference Information Model (RIM), a more sophisticated WBC that supports both versions of HL7, and integrates legacy systems, Electronic Medical Records, Lab Information Systems. 

EDI 

Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) has been in practice since 1980s. It establishes the commercial data exchange between two entities. It is one of the rigorous format of electronic documents available today. Some standards address specific needs of an industry or region. The commonly available standards are X12, EDIFACT, ODETTE, EDIBDB, CEFIC. We, At WBC, have been working in the X12 predominant environment for the past few years. We helped clients to exchange Eligibility, Coverage or Benefit Inquiry / Information (270/271), Health Care Claim Status Request / Notification (276/277), Medical Event Reporting (500), Health Care Claim Payment / Advice (835). We do support other data interchange formats including customization and transformation from one to other. 

CCR / CCD

 Continuity of Care Document (CCD) and Continuity of Care Record (CCR) are standards used They reduce human errors while improving continuity.
