Situation in Ukraine
It has been 812 days since Russia invaded Kyiv.
Now,
here is the war situation in each region.
We will focus on the areas where the war situation has changed.
You can follow the changes with the date if you go to full screen on the big screen.
Northeast,
toward Harkiv
It has been five days since the Russians invaded along the border in Harkiv.
The weather in Harkiv is cloudy.
The minimum temperature is 3 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is 13 degrees Celsius.
The weather forecast for today is also cloudy.
Russian troops are advancing with infantry and expanding the occupied area,
albeit at a slightly slower pace.
Lipsi area
Russian forces may be directing the main thrust of their attack east to Bovtyansk.
1st.
In Hlyboke,
the Russians are making a heavy assault on residential areas to the south,
but Ukrainian forces are responding,
and so far there has been no change in the battle map.
Conversely,
Ukrainian troops are pounding the eastern side of the settlement with drones and artillery fire,
and damage to a Russian Desert Cross 4-wheel ATV has been confirmed.
The battle map remains unchanged.
2nd.
Ukrainian troops are counterattacking east of Lukyantsi,
and the presence of Ukrainian troops can be seen here as the Russians are bombing the area with glide bombs.
This is a still image of the location shown on the map.
We have updated the battle map of this location from Russian-occupied to disputed territory.
Related to this,
in Zelene to the east,
Russian forces are attacking Ukrainian positions near Zelene,
and it is likely that the settlement is held by Ukrainian forces,
so we have updated the battle map from Russian-occupied to Ukrainian-controlled territory.
Bovtyansk area
In this sector,
the Russians are launching an offensive north of the Donetsk and Bovcha rivers,
and the key point is where the Russian advance will stop and how far they can launch the offensive with their remaining troops while incurring high losses.
1st.
In Buhruvatka,
the Russians ran down the hill and advanced,
capturing residential areas in Buhruvatka.
Also,
from the position of the Ukrainian artillery,
some of the Russians advanced to 500 meters in front of the Donets River,
where they were repulsed by mortars.
What we are showing you is the Ukrainian side,
and the Russian soldiers on foot at the location indicated on the map.
If you move the map a little closer,
you can see that the Ukrainian army is using the east-west road south of Buhruvatka as a line of defense,
repelling the approaching Russian soldiers with drones and artillery fire.
We have updated the battle map of Buhruvatka and its surroundings from disputed territory to occupied Russian territory.
Second.
The meat processing plant in Bovtyansk,
which has been mentioned in the last few days,
has been updated on the battle map as occupied by the Russians,
as many reports indicate that the Russians occupied the entire plant the previous day.
Conversely,
the 6th School in the center of the city and the city block where the administrative offices are gathered from the Russian shelling positions appear to be the stronghold of the Ukrainian army.
The battle map has been slightly modified to reflect the extent of the disputed territory.
4th.
On the eastern outskirts of Bohdzhansk,
Ukrainian military drones are attacking Russian troops,
confirming that Russian troops have reached this location.
As we reported in yesterday's video,
it is possible that the Russians are trying to conduct a campaign to encircle the Ukrainian forces north of the Donets River by seizing the area west and east of Bovtyansk,
making it impossible for them to retreat.
The battle map has been updated to show the extent of the disputed territory as an expansion of the area.
The Russian army has begun deploying armored vehicles into Bovtyansk,
and urban warfare is expected to intensify north of the town in the coming days.
Northeast,
toward Luhansk Oblast
Eastern part,
toward Bakhmut
The following is a report on the war situation on the Svatove-Kreminna line,
from the area around Siversk to Bakhmut.
The Russians attacked 22 times in Kupyansk,
once along the Svatove-Kreminna line,
15 times around Sivelsk,
and 35 times in Bakhmut.
Overall,
the number of attacks increased,
possibly in an attempt to nail Ukrainian forces to the ground to prevent them from moving.
ChasivYar area
As reported in yesterday's video,
the Russians may have focused on capturing Ivanivske before attacking Kanal,
after a failed attempt to raid the town of Kanal.
1st.
In Ivanivske,
positional video shows Russian troops attempting to make it difficult for Ukrainian troops to resupply by conducting drone strikes in the rear of the Ukrainian army.
The Ukrainian military appears to be using small vehicles to resupply on this road,
causing damage to Humvees,
SUVs,
BMP infantry fighting vehicles,
ATVs,
and Ural trucks,
just to name a few.
In the video of the day before yesterday,
we reported that the Russians had taken over the T0504 road,
which may have had an impact on the fact that this is the only supply road left.
What we are showing you is from the Russian side and shows the vicinity of the location indicated on the map.
We have updated the battle map to show this area as an extension of the disputed territory.
Southeast Donetsk Oblast.
The weather in Avdiivka is cloudy.
The minimum temperature is 5 degrees Celsius and the maximum is 13 degrees Celsius.
The weather forecast for today is also cloudy.
The following is an update on the situation in the areas of Avdiivka,
Marinka,
and Vuhledar.
Avdiivka area
The Russians made 33 attacks in this sector.
The Russians are shelling heavily in some areas,
causing a slight retreat of the Ukrainian forces.
1st.
In Novopokrovske,
according to several reports,
the Russians are closing the gap to the settlement and have extended their occupation about 1 km to the west.
2nd.
South of Pervomaiske,
we updated the battle map from disputed territory to Russian-occupied territory in that area,
as Ukrainian troops withdrew from the salient and Russian troops entered the area.
The area will be about 3 square kilometers.
Otherwise,
the Russian attack was repulsed by Ukrainian forces and the battle map remains unchanged.
Marinka area
Vuhledar Area
In this sector,
the Russians attacked 13 times in the direction of Marinka and 11 times in the direction of Verkhanovosyrka.
In Krasnohorivka,
according to several reports,
Ukrainian troops broke the encirclement of a factory and retreated from the protruding part.
The Russians advanced on that area,
and it turned out that the Russians controlled the area from the east side of the town to the factory,
so we have updated the battle map from disputed territory to Russian-occupied territory.
The area is about 4 square kilometers.
There are reports that Russian troops have entered the city of Staromaiorsk,
but this has not yet been confirmed,
and we will update the battle map when it is confirmed.
Southern Zaporizhia Province
Southern Province of Kherson
In this area,
the Russians made two attacks on Robotyne and four attacks on Krinky,
but there is no information on any change in the battle map.
That's all for today.
Please feel free to leave your analysis of the war situation,
updates,
and thoughts on the news in the comments section.
Thank you for watching.
First of all,
general matters.
According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,
the Russian losses were 1,510 soldiers
14 tanks
48 armored fighting vehicles
23 artillery guns
30 drones
2 cruise missiles
55 other vehicles.
The entire front reported 148 ground battles in one day.
The ground fighting is intensifying as the Russian military posts numerous daily losses of soldiers in the wake of the Harkiv invasion.
And the ratio of the number of equipment losses of the Ukrainian army to the Russian army,
which can be visually confirmed,
is 1 to 2.1,
compared to the number of losses on the Ukrainian side.
Losses on the Russian side are dominated by infantry fighting vehicles,
tanks,
and military and civilian trucks,
while losses on the Ukrainian side are marked by artillery.
This trend has continued for several days,
indicating that the Russians are sending soldiers to the front lines to attack,
while at the same time using drones to find and destroy artillery that pose a threat to their infantry.
Here is a brief news report on the situation in Ukraine.
You can also use YouTube's chapter feature to watch where you need to go.
1st.
In the midst of the Russian invasion of Harkiv,
there is a possibility of a further major change in the war situation.
The New York Times published an interview with Boudanov,
director of Ukraine's General Directorate of Intelligence,
who first said of the Russian offensive in Harkiv,
"In the coming days the Ukrainian army will be able to consolidate its positions and stabilize the front line."
After that,
he predicted that "the offensive in Harkiv will continue for another three or four days,
after which the Russians will launch a decisive attack in the direction of Zoomie," and continued,
"The situation is on the brink and getting closer to a crisis every minute.
The New York Times summarized the reasons for this by saying,
"Military assistance from the United States has finally begun to arrive,
but there is a serious shortage of shells," and that "as a result of the deployment of reserve forces in Harkiv,
there are unfortunately no more reserve forces available to deal with an attack in the Zoomie Oblast.
This is a fact.
In response,
military analyst Sugrez analyzed that "in the Zoomie Oblast,
there is only a small force in the border town of Suja in Kursk at the moment,
so it is possible that this article is not entirely accurate."
Second.
U.S.
Secretary of State Blinken made an unannounced visit to Kyiv and met with President Zelensky.
On the occasion of his first visit in a year and two months,
he posted on a social networking site with a photo,
"I returned to Kiev today to show my firm support for Ukraine's freedom from Russian aggression.
The content of the meeting was not disclosed,
but it is reported that they discussed the defense of Harkiv,
the provision of additional Patriots,
and the provision of new long-range missiles.
Third.
The purge appears to have started early in the Russian Defense Ministry.
TASS and other news agencies report that Lieutenant General Kuznetsov,
head of the Russian Defense Ministry's personnel department,
has been accused of accepting a villa in Krasnodar as a bribe and has been arrested.
Kommersant also reported that he received land and buildings worth 30.5 million rubles over a 372 million ruble hotel accommodation contract.
While Kuznetsov denies any wrongdoing,
the report says that 100 million rubles in cash,
gold coins,
and a collection of luxury watches were seized from his home.
The Telegram channel,
which is familiar with the Russian Defense Ministry,
reports that the purge comes on the heels of the arrest of Deputy Minister Ivanov in April and the resignation of Defense Minister Shoigu.
