Situation in Ukraine
It has been 794 days since Russia invaded Kyiv.
First,
general things.
According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,
Russian losses were 1124 soldiers
6 tanks
14 armored combat vehicles
38 cannons
3 air defense systems
24 drones
5 cruise missiles
41 other vehicles.
There were 114 reports of ground fighting in one day across the front.
Russian forces are intensifying their infantry offensive in an attempt to increase their occupation of the area before Western support arrives and causes a lot of damage.
And the ratio of the number of losses of Ukrainian equipment to Russian losses,
which can be visually confirmed,
is 1 to 3.1,
compared to the number of losses on the Ukrainian side.
The losses on the Russian side are mostly civilian trucks,
while on the Ukrainian side Uradley infantry fighting vehicles stand out.
Here is a short news report on the situation in Ukraine.
You can also use YouTube's chapter feature to watch it if you wish.
1.
Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate,
GUR,
reports that a Ka32 helicopter was destroyed by someone at the Russian Defense Ministry's Ostafyevo airfield in Moscow.
This airfield is located 25 km south of the center of Moscow.
The cause of the destruction is unknown,
but video footage released by GUR shows flames coming from inside the helicopter and what appears to be a fire.
The helicopter was used to support Russian military operations.
2.
Reuters reports that the Swiss Senate's security committee has passed a resolution to provide 5 billion Swiss francs ($5.5 billion) to Ukraine as part of a broader policy to improve Switzerland's defense capabilities.
This means that Switzerland will contribute 10.1 billion Swiss francs ($11 bilion) to support Ukraine through a parliamentary resolution.
Because Switzerland is a permanently neutral country,
the funds will be used to "support civilian infrastructure and reconstruction.
The Congress issued a statement saying that the contribution was "necessary for the security of Switzerland and for peace in Europe in the context of the war that Russia is waging against Ukraine.
Third.
The Associated Press reported that two U.S.
sources said the Ukrainian military has withdrawn its M1A1 Abrams tanks from the front lines.
The U.S.
announced last January that it would provide 31 Abrams tanks,
but has already lost five.
Officials said the M1A1 tanks are large and conspicuous,
making them easy to spot by Russian reconnaissance drones and difficult to conduct operations without being attacked,
and are being held back until new tactics can be devised by U.S.
and Ukrainian forces.
The M1A1 tank had an unassailable advantage over the Iraqi T72 tank in the Gulf War,
but times seem to have changed.
Here is the war situation in each region.
I will focus on the areas where the war situation has changed.
You can follow the changes with the date on the large full-screen display.
Northeast: Luhansk Region
Eastern Bakhmut
This section of the report focuses on the Svatove-Kreminna line,
from the area around Siversk to Bakhmut.
In this area,
the Russians attacked 10 times near Berestove,
20 times along the Svatove-Kreminna line,
and 26 times around Siversk and towards Bakhmut.
Kupyansk area
In Kislivka,
Russian troops have been attacking in recent days,
and unconfirmed reports indicate that there is a ground battle centered on a station east of the settlement.
This is believed to be part of Operation Amoeba,
an offensive to find holes in the Ukrainian army's defenses.
Some sources close to Russia claim that Russian troops have already occupied the area around the station.
This area was recaptured by Ukrainian forces in November last year,
but since it is no longer known where it belongs,
the battle map has been updated from Ukrainian-controlled territory to disputed territory.
Around Siversk
The Russians have been bombing Ukrainian positions in Verkhonokamyanske and Spirne in this area,
shelling them with multiple rockets,
conventional and cluster munitions,
and wearing down Ukrainian forces.
This is believed to be an attempt to disperse Ukrainian forces away from ChasivYar.
The Russians also launched an attack north of Veselay,
where a Russian BTR armored fighting vehicle stepped on a Ukrainian landmine and was repelled,
as shown on the map.
The 109th Mountain Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Army is shown at the location indicated on the map.
This location was claimed by the Russians in April,
but we have again updated the battle map to the disputed area.
ChasivYar area
In this area,
Russian troops are conducting preparatory operations for a full-scale offensive.
According to Ukrainian military spokesman Voloshin,
Russian troops are attacking Bohodanivska,
Ivanivske,
Klishchiivka,
and Andrivka in order to surround and occupy ChasivYar,
and are preparing to break directly through the Ukrainian defense line east of ChasivYar.
The Ukrainian military situation was changing that day.
There was no information on this front that day that would affect the battle map.
The Russians launched three confirmed airstrikes northeast of the town of Khanal,
fired about 15 multiple rocket attacks to the east,
and shelled Ukrainian positions in a forested area to the south,
destroying buildings and deterring Ukrainian military activity.
Southeast Donetsk region
The weather in Avdiivka is cloudy.
The minimum temperature is 14 degrees Celsius and the maximum is 26 degrees Celsius.
The weather forecast for today is cloudy.
Here is the current situation in Avdiivka,
Marinka and Vuhledar.
Avdiivka
In this area the Russians have carried out 30 attacks.
In the area of Ocheretiyne,
which is the main focus,
the Russians,
outnumbered,
are advancing slightly.
1.
On the Novokalinove-Keramik attack axis,
the front has expanded,
and the Russians seem to have captured most of the settlements along the valley and partially established a foothold in Keramik.
The Ukrainian forces are defending the center of Novokalinove and Keramik,
but since these two settlements are 170 meters above sea level,
slightly lower than the surrounding fields along the valley,
the Ukrainian forces are using Arkhanelske in the northwest as a base from which to launch a series of air strikes on the Ukrainian positions in Novokalinove.
It is possible that the Ukrainian army will defend at high altitude from its base at Arkhanhelske.
2.
Heavy fighting is reported in Ocheretiyne,
with Ukrainian troops attempting to defend a school northeast of the town and a mining company to the northwest.
The Russian military is reported to have deployed reinforcements from the 15th Peacekeeping Brigade,
which withdrew from Nagorno-Karabakh,
and it appears that the Russian military is making this area a high priority.
In the northeastern axis of the attack,
the location information video shows the bodies of numerous Russian soldiers near the entrance to the school,
piled with garbage on the side of the road,
confirming that this location is under Russian military control.
The battle map was updated to show this area as occupied by Russian forces from Ukrainian-controlled territory,
and the entire school was updated on the battle map as an extension of the disputed area.
3.
We also have unconfirmed information that Ukrainian forces in Ocheretine have withdrawn from all areas except the aforementioned school,
which appears to have been occupied by Russian forces.
As we reported in our previous video,
there are civilians in this residential area,
so it is possible that Ukrainian troops avoided fighting in the residential area.
We have updated the battle map of this area as occupied by Russian forces from the disputed area.
Ocheretine has also been changed from blue to red markings accordingly.
Fourth.
Meanwhile,
the Ukrainian Army launched a mopping-up operation with Bradley infantry fighting vehicles at a mining facility along the northwestern railway,
but subsequent information suggests that this offensive operation may have failed against Russian forces,
who were outnumbered,
and according to several sources close to Russia,
the Russian units were then split in two.
According to several sources close to the Russians,
the Russian forces then split into two groups,
one heading for Novo Oleksandrivka and the other advancing along the railroad tracks.
The battle map has been updated to show the mining facility as a Russian-occupied area instead of a contested area.
We will update the battle map again as soon as we confirm this area.
Fifth.
In Solovyovye,
south of the Russian village,
the Russian troops occupied the settlement,
and the Ukrainian troops used drones to attack the positions taken by the Russians.
What we are showing you is from the 100th mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian army,
and the bus stop is shown on the map.
As we reported in yesterday's video,
the 100th Mechanized Brigade was originally a Homeland Defense Brigade,
renamed only as a Homeland Defense Brigade,
and is said to be not fully equipped.
As usual,
we will post the parts we cannot show you on the Telegram channel,
so when you are ready,
please make sure there is no one behind you and then click on the link in the overview section.
The battle map has been updated with the entire Solovyiv occupied by Russian troops from the disputed area.
6.
From Berdych to Semenivka,
the Russians sent infantry to advance and raised a flag indicating occupation in the center of Semenivka to claim it.
Meanwhile,
the Ukrainian army launched a drone counterattack to reduce the strength of the Russian forces.
The battle map has been updated,
with the Russian occupation of Semenivka extended about 100 meters to the west.
Also,
the reduced Russian artillery fire in this area suggests that the Ukrainian forces are likely to withdraw from their positions in this area and gradually retreat to Novopokrovske and Umanske.
7.
In the triangle between Umanske and Netailove,
the position of the Ukrainian artillery fire confirms that the Russians have infantry in the places indicated on the map.
The one we are showing you is now the 25th Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Army.
We have updated the battle map as the Russians have advanced to this location.
Marinka area
Vuhledar area
The Russians have made 19 attacks in this sector.
1.
Of these,
unconfirmed reports indicate that in Krasnohorivka,
north of Marinka,
the Russian military has launched an attack from the east,
in addition to the previous attacks from the south,
attacking the Ukrainian military defense line that has existed since 2014.
Krasnohorivka is a fortress that has been on the front line for the past 10 years,
but the first target of the Russian military attack is the compound at the location shown on the map,
and if you zoom in you can see the trenches inside the compound,
which is surrounded by a wall.
Although there is no information to confirm this at this time,
and the battle map has not changed,
it is possible that the battle for Krasnohorivka will intensify in the future.
2.
Also,
to the south of the town,
in the place indicated on the map,
Russian soldiers were innocently playing with a landmine on the roadside,
and it was very difficult for us to talk about it here.
What we are showing you is the Ukrainian side,
which is the crossing of the railroad tracks shown on the map.
There is no change in the battle map.
Third.
Also,
according to the video with location information,
there is no change in the battle map in the area shown on the map east of the town,
but there is a video of a Russian Turtle tank that got stuck for some reason and was rescued by other vehicles: BBBB
Southern Zaporizhia Province
Southern Kherson Province
In this area the Russians made three attacks in Stalomaiorsk and Robotyne,
and three attacks in Krinky,
but there is no information about any change in the battle map.
That's all for today.
Thank you for watching.
