Situation in Ukraine
It has been 720 days since Russia invaded Kyiv.
First,
a general matter.
According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,
the Russian losses were 1,090 soldiers
8 tanks
27 armored combat vehicles
19 artillery pieces
30 drones
28 other vehicles.
The entire front reported 100 ground engagements in one day.
The Russians continue to concentrate their forces around Avdiivka in an attempt to break through.
And the ratio of the number of losses of Ukrainian equipment to Russian equipment,
which can be visually confirmed,
is 1 to 4.5,
with the Russian side losing 4.5 times as much as the Ukrainian side.
The Russian losses are mostly civilian trucks,
infantry fighting vehicles and tanks,
and they are actively sending soldiers to the front lines.
The Ukrainian side,
on the other hand,
has lost a large number of civilian vans.
This is a short news report about the situation in Ukraine.

1.
Former Mongolian President Elbegdorj posted an old map from the Mongol Empire era on social networking sites in response to President Putin's interview published on August 8,
in which he justified his invasion of Ukraine by saying that "Ukraine was historically Russian land.
The map depicts present-day Russia as a small part of the Mongol Empire surrounded by or as part of Mongolia.
Former President Elbegdorj commented,
"I found an old map of Mongolia.
But don't worry.
We are a peaceful and free nation," he wrote,
dissing President Putin.
2.
The Russian Customs Service announced a 28% drop in Russian export revenues in 2023.
Tighter sanctions from Western countries,
disruptions in natural gas supplies,
and falling prices for Russian exports have taken a toll on the economy.
In particular,
oil-related exports have doubled in volume,
but revenues have fallen 34%,
forcing significant price discounts.
In addition,
while the number of trading partners with Europe has fallen sharply to one-third,
it has been replaced by China,
which accounts for 41% of imports,
clearly indicating that the economy is dependent on China and has become a vassal state of China.
3.
HIMARS vehicles transported from Ukraine to the USA for repairs.
The video shows that one vehicle has damage to the driver's cab and launcher,
and the second vehicle is missing the right front wheel,
likely due to damage from a land mine.
This is the first time this has been confirmed,
although the Russian Defense Ministry has stated that the Russian military has already destroyed dozens to hundreds of HIMARS vehicles.
Now,
here is the war situation in each region.
I will tell you where the war situation is changing.
Northeast: Luhansk region
Eastern part,
towards Bakhmut
We will report on the war situation on the Svatove-Kreminna line from Halkiu and Kupyansk,
and from the area around Sibersk to Bakhmut.
In this area the Russians attacked three times near Shinkivka,
Ivanivka and Tabayivka,
four times around Terny and Bilohorivka,
and 19 times in the direction of Bakhmut.
Kupyansk area
In Shinkivka,
which we have been reporting on for several days,
Russian troops have advanced,
according to video footage with positions.
Russian troops have overrun and occupied Ukrainian positions in the places indicated on the map.
What we are showing you is from the Russian side,
where Russian troops are approaching the Ukrainian positions.
We have updated the battle map to show this area as occupied by Russian forces from the disputed territory,
and we have verified the surrounding disputed territory.
Svatove-Kreminna line
Russian forces have advanced east of Terny.
According to the found video,
Russian troops advanced and occupied the wooded area leading to Terny.
There was video footage of Ukrainian troops using a drone to reconnaissance Russian troops in the location indicated on the map.
The battle map has been updated to show this location as occupied by Russian forces from the disputed area.
Note that Terny is only 2.3 kilometers away.
Around Sibersk
At the water treatment plant east of Bilohorivka,
which we reported on recently,
the Ukrainian army has counterattacked and repulsed the Russian army.
What we are showing you is from the Ukrainian side and shows two Russian tanks that were destroyed and abandoned at the location shown on the map.
This place was marked as Russian-occupied territory,
but we changed it from Russian-occupied territory to disputed territory because it turned out that the Russian army had not been able to occupy up to the regulating reservoir.
The symbols are dated,
so you can see the past changes in the war situation in full-screen mode,
or watch the corresponding past videos to learn more about the situation.
Bakhmut area
Russian troops continue to push up the front line from Bohodanivka to Kromove,
as they did on the 9th.
According to the position video,
Russian troops attacked north of Bohodanivka,
the waterway south of it,
and the cemetery along route O0506,
advancing into the cemetery and the forest south of it.
The Russian side is shown here,
with a Russian vehicle advancing on the east side of the cemetery.
The battle map has been updated to show the cemetery and most of the forest as occupied by the Russians.
The area is 0.8 square kilometers.
Drawing a little on the map to illustrate,
the Russians are advancing with the goal of capturing Chashivyar,
but in front of them is Ivanivske,
and they are within 2 kilometers of Chashivyar and within 500 meters of Ivanivske.
If the Russians continue to advance along O0506,
Bohodanivka will become a prominent part of the area and the threat will increase,
so caution is required.
On the other hand,
the contributor may find it quite difficult,
but the key point is whether the Russians have enough forces left to attack and occupy Chasifjar.
Southeast Donetsk region
The weather in Avdiivka is cloudy.
The minimum temperature is 4 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is 11 degrees Celsius.
Today's weather forecast is cloudy.
This week is the first half of spring week.
Here is a brief update on the situation in the Avdiivka,
Marinka and Vuhledar areas.
Avdiivka sector
The Russians have carried out 41 attacks in this sector.
The Russians have set an immediate goal of cutting off the supply lines to the Avdiivka command center,
and are trying to pin down the command center from the north and south.
The Russians are concentrating their forces primarily to the north,
bypassing the coal plant and attempting to advance along the axis of attack aimed at the fire station and north and south of the bus depot to its south.
North of this command center,
the pace of the Russian advance has slowed as they enter a complex urban battle.
Meanwhile,
the Ukrainian Army appears to have decided to move part of the 3rd Assault Brigade,
which played an active role in the liberation of Andrivka in Bakhmut,
in this direction to save Avdiivka.
This 2,000-strong force was now retreating and resting in Kramatorsk,
where they had just switched from former Soviet BMPs to M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles to increase their strength.
Unconfirmed reports also indicate that American M1A1 Abrams tanks will be generously deployed to the front lines in order to push the Russian troops back.
If we cannot expect much American support,
we may indeed choose to use up the world's most powerful tanks in Avdiivka while we can keep them in perfect condition.
According to Forbes,
analysis suggests that these decisions may have been driven by the newly appointed commander-in-chief,
Shirsky.
The combination of a unit considered the strongest in the Ukrainian army and the world's most powerful tanks will save Avdiivka.
As for the battle map,
the area around Avdiivka is still under intelligence control,
and no pictures or other information are available,
but based on a variety of information,
as we reported earlier,
the battle was a complex urban battle,
and the speed of the Russian army's advance slowed. The battle map has not changed.
Marinka sector
In this sector the Russians carried out 32 attacks.
Russian forces attacked north of Marinka near Krasnohorivka,
Heolyivka,
Popieda and Novomihailivka,
but were repulsed by Ukrainian forces,
leaving the battle map unchanged.
South,
Zaporizhia Province.
In this sector,
the Russians attacked only in Robotyne,
but were repulsed by Ukrainian forces,
leaving the battle map unchanged.
South,
Kherson Province.
The Russians made an attack in this sector at Krinky,
but there is no change in the battle map here.
Neither side seems to be trying to take the initiative in this sector.
Others
A Russian tanker suggested that he could put vases around his tanks and stick branches in them to protect his vehicles from drone attacks by Ukrainian troops.
In the video,
what appear to be shell casings are welded to the tanks,
and branches are inserted into each one like a vase for flower arrangements.
Comments on the video analyze the effect,
saying that it creates a garden on the tanks and is also a feast for the eyes.
That's all for today.
Thanks for watching.
