Situation in Ukraine
It has been 769 days since Russia invaded Kyiv.
First,
a general matter.
According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,
the Russian losses were 780 soldiers
12 tanks
29 armored combat vehicles
30 artillery pieces
22 drones
1 cruise missile
37 other vehicles.
The entire front reported 53 ground battles in one day.
And the ratio of the number of losses of Ukrainian equipment to Russian losses,
which can be visually confirmed,
is 1 to 1.6 compared to the number of losses on the Ukrainian side.
The Russian losses include a large number of infantry fighting vehicles,
artillery and civilian trucks,
indicating that they are concentrating their forces at key points to make a breakthrough.
Conversely,
on the Ukrainian side,
most of the losses are boats and guns.
This is a short news report about the situation in Ukraine.
You can also use YouTube's chapter feature to watch where you want.
1.
A fire at the country's largest machine factory in Yekaterinburg,
in the Russian interior,
has caused the roof of the workshop to collapse and 4,000 square meters to burn.
What we are showing you is a video of the early stages of the outbreak,
but you can see the black smoke rising.
Ekaterinburg is located north of Kazakhstan,
1,700 kilometers from the Ukrainian front line.
There has been no official statement from the Russian authorities,
and there appear to be no casualties,
but eyewitnesses and social networking sites claim that something exploded at workplace 57,
where 500 liters of paint were stored,
and the fire spread.
The plant reportedly makes excavators and other equipment.
Second.
In a poll conducted in Russia by a British polling organization,
when asked who should be blamed for the attack on a Moscow concert hall that killed more than 140 people on the 22nd of last month,
half of Russians said Ukraine should be blamed,
27 percent said ISIS,
the alleged perpetrators,
six percent said the United Kingdom,
the United States and NATO should be blamed,
and 3 percent said the Russian government.
More than 75% of respondents also said that President Putin was their most reliable source of information.
Commenting on the results,
Moscow-based anti-government activist Mineiro said,
"Russians tend to respond to propaganda in polls,
which is an indication that they feel they cannot change anything".
Third.
The Russian Orthodox Church has issued a bulletin to its priests around the world asking them to pray daily to God for the victory of Russia.
This prayer asks God to repel through prayer "the demonic forces that are destroying Russian unity," to save Russian soldiers from disaster,
to give Russia victory,
and to return Russians abroad to their rightful place.
Bishops who oppose this have been mercilessly excommunicated,
and high-ranking priests have been expelled.
Now,
here is the war situation in each region.
We will focus on the areas where the war situation has changed.
You can follow the changes with the date on the large full-screen display.
Northeast: Luhansk Oblast
Eastern Bakhmut
This section covers the war situation on the Svatove-Kreminna line,
from the area around Siversk to the area of Bakhmut.
In this area the Russians attacked three times in Terny and eight times in the direction of Bakhmut.
Svatove-Kreminna line
In Terny,
we reported that the Russians came to less than a kilometer from the city center,
but according to the latest position video,
the Ukrainian troops counterattacked from the flanks and pushed the Russians back.
The Russians concentrated their forces west of Chashivyar and Avdiivka,
and were targeted when the offensive momentum in that direction was greatly reduced.
The Ukrainians shelled the southern side of the valley,
2.5 and 3.5 kilometers from the town of Terny,
destroying at least three Russian BMP infantry fighting vehicles,
followed by a cluster bombardment that destroyed the Russian positions,
and then a tank sweep from the north of the valley that forced the Russians to retreat 2 kilometers. Tanks were then used to clear the area from the north of the valley,
forcing the Russians to retreat about two kilometers.
The picture shown is of the 95th Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Army,
north of the valley shown on the map.
This was the area where the Russians advanced in February,
but we have updated the battle map to show the disputed area.
Chashkhuyar area
The Russian army is concentrating its forces to occupy Chashkhuyar.
Chashkhuyar itself is a town of 12,000 people,
about a quarter the size of Bakhmut and a third the size of Avdiivka,
but several settlements surround the area.
Situated on a plateau 250 meters above sea level,
the Russians attack from the tactically disadvantageous lowlands,
but take advantage of the delay in Western support to launch an offensive without fear of damage.
If you pull back the map a bit,
Konstantinovka,
with a population of 70,000,
lies behind it,
and the Russians are likely to suffer endless heavy casualties with each advance.
1.
In Khanai,
an outpost of Chashivyar,
the Russians have fired several rockets into the forests to the east to check the Ukrainian army's movements,
and unconfirmed reports close to the Russian side indicate that Russian assault troops have entered the forests.
Unconfirmed reports indicate that Russian troops have also attacked fields and forests to the south,
advancing as far as one field.
The battle map has been updated to show the extent of the area as an expansion of the disputed territory.
2.
In Ivanivske,
south of the city,
there is an urban battle,
but the Russians are struggling to advance.
Russian paratroopers launched an attack from Kirova Street towards the O0504 road,
but were hit by Ukrainian garrisons when they reached the road,
and the Russians were repulsed with the loss of at least three armored vehicles.
What we show you is supposed to be the Russian side,
and is the view of the location shown on the map.
The battle map is unchanged.
3.
North of Klishchiivka,
the Russians attempted to enter the access road north of the town with armored vehicles,
but were repulsed by Ukrainian forces in the forest in front of them,
with the Russians losing three BMP infantry fighting vehicles.
The Ukrainian army was able to repel the Russian attack on this part of the front,
and the Russian army's repulsed position has been gradually pushed back compared to a month ago.
Southeast Donetsk region
The weather in Avdiivka is clear and sometimes cloudy.
The minimum temperature is 8 degrees Celsius and the maximum is 22 degrees Celsius.
The weather forecast for today is also cloudy with a chance of showers.
The weather is stable and no rain is forecast for a while.
Below is an update on the situation in the areas of Avdiivka,
Marinka and Vuhledar.
Avdiivka
Russian forces have conducted 13 attacks in this area.
The Russians are concentrating their forces in an attempt to break through the Ukrainian defensive line.
The Russian army has made a slight advance,
if only temporarily,
although the Ukrainian army is repulsing the massive 50-vehicle Russian offensive we reported yesterday.
1.
In Berdych,
there is no change in the battle map today,
as the Russians rushed in with their BTR82 armored fighting vehicles and were repelled by the Ukrainian troops in the same place as usual.
What I am showing you is a view of the location shown on the map,
but countless Russian soldiers are resting on the ground,
so I have processed all the images.
Second.
One of the biggest focal points will be Semenivka,
which is slightly elevated and will be a key point of the defensive line,
and if the Russians occupy it,
the Ukrainian defensive line will be greatly set back.
The Ukrainian army has deployed its most elite 3rd Assault Brigade to defend it,
but the Russians keep attacking,
sometimes with infantry,
sometimes with vehicles,
sometimes with convoys.
According to the found video,
the Russians rushed from Orlivka across the river to the location shown on the map,
this time repulsed by Ukrainian FPV drones.
Although the battle map has not changed since the event took place in the disputed territory,
it is believed that the Russian army will conduct such an attack for a while to check the defensive situation of the Ukrainian army,
and then launch a full-scale offensive.
3.
In Tonenke,
as reported in yesterday's video,
the Russian army is still fighting as it did yesterday,
attacking on two axes.
First,
on the northern axis,
the Russians have advanced to the point indicated on the map.
As expected,
the Ukrainian troops are repulsing them one by one,
but when the Ukrainian troops responded with tanks from Umanske,
the tanks were also damaged.
The Ukrainian troops also took tanks from Umanske,
and some of their tanks were damaged.
Some parts of the video cannot be shown on YouTube,
so we will post the unaltered version on the Telegram channel,
so please watch it if you are ready to lose sleep at night.
The battle map has been updated to show the area west of Tonenke as occupied by the Russians and the disputed area up to the point where the Russians advanced and were repulsed.
The map shows that the area where the Russians are advancing is a wedge-shaped terrain surrounded by rivers and reservoirs.
The Marinka Sector
In this sector,
the Russians made 22 attacks,
mainly on Novomichailovka,
but the Ukrainian forces were successfully repulsed and there was no information to affect the battle map.
South,
Zaporizhia province
South,
Kherson Province
In this sector,
the Russians made two attacks on Stalomaiorsk and Robotyne,
and two attacks on Krinky,
but in each case the Ukrainian forces were repulsed and the Russians made no headway.
Others
Russia created and released a film-quality propaganda video for Ukraine in an attempt to discredit the Ukrainian government.
The video tells the story of a man who lived in the lap of luxury in Ukraine and was suddenly thrown to the front lines,
where he had a disastrous experience.
MediaZona,
a Russian anti-government news organization,
identified the actors in the film as Russian and interviewed them,
but one actor refused to be interviewed and another said he was "just in the movie.
That's all for today.
Thanks for watching.
