First of all,

I would be happy if you could "follow" this "note". I always send links one by one, but sometimes I am wondering “Am I annoying?” Or sometimes I miss sending the link… so If you don't mind, please follow the note.

Well, it's been a really rich blessing time for the past few weeks!

I'm going to try to talk about it in chronological order as much as possible, but I think it will go back and forth a little, so I'm sorry.

Sasaoka & Kobayashi Family

At the beginning of July, the Sasaoka family visited us. Mr. Sasaoka was my seminary teacher and Takeshi had learned from him a lot! The Kobayashi family and us have been know each other for few years now.

We've been talking about various things for hours, and we didn’t have enough time. It was such a fun and deep fellowship time.

So we asked the Sasaoka family to stay one more night! and they did! LOL.  It was really helpful that the Sasaoka family was able to extend one more night because we got a lot of wisdom for how to raise business in order to continue our ministry.  ( we need help for business management! Lol)

An amazing team!

The team from Texas visited us from July, 14th to 24th!

There are a lot of testimonies!!

We wish I could share everything now but we need to do it little by little, but anyway, it was really really full of blessings!! 😆👍

From the night the team arrived here, Our house was filled with worship and we felt that we entered our new phase as a church.

This time we will share an overview,
What we did was…

• Prayer Walk to Zenkoji Temple

• Pop-up cafe

• Street Ministry

• Helping a local farmer's field

• Helping local church kids summer camp

• Also, we invited people to our house and have a barbecue together,

• We found a business connection with a local cake shop and helped making promotion video and Instagram advertisement.  

• We once made friends with a tattooed macho guys at Onsen and had a dinner together. We ended up sharing the gospel and prayed for them.😆

Anyway, there are really a lot of things, and I don't know if I can share them all, but I'm overwhelmed by the goodness of God each day, and I'm full of gratitude.

The interesting thing is, for some reason, there are several times when I always have the feeling that there are more people than the members of the team and wait for the rest of the members to gather even though they are all together. I realized in that moment that  "Is it because a lot of people are praying behind us.” It was an interesting experience.

So thank you very much for your prayers and support! We are super blessed!!

Akura Church is going to start officially!

So, that's the way to started Akura Church!
As a result of careful consideration, prayers, and consulting with various people, we decided our church to gather as a church on Friday evening.

The reason is

• From the culture of "Shabbat Dinner" on the Sabbath in the Bible, we will share meals and worship together in a family atmosphere where we open our house.

• We want to support and cooperate with other churches, so we will not make as much schedule on Saturday and Sunday as possible so that I can serve other churches on Sunday.

That's the main reason.

We were encouraged a lot by the missionary team from Sozo Church in Texas, and We can't thank them enough! Especially, we are thankful for the team leader, Justin Ito,  because we got a lot of advice and help from him!

With great gratitude and in honor of the team from Sozo church in Texas, we decided to make July 14, 2023, the day they arrived in Japan is the anniversary of the founding of Akura church.

Actually, church is very small, 3 to 4 people may gather, but with excitement, we moving forward with The Lord who created the world from scratch!

Please pray for:

• …The team from Sozo church in Texas, to get good rest and blessing for their ministry in Texas.

• …The wisdom for us to build the trust more and deepen relationship more with the people in the area who were able to connect with us.

• … please pray for Building solid relationship and trust with the local cake shop who adopted Akura Coffee to make cakes!

• …Our financial management skill will be grow by God’s wisdom.

• … A missionary family from Australia. They are visiting us from 7/29. Please pray for their needs will be met and we will be able to listen well to God's guidance for mission work together in Ueda City.
