下北沢の一角にある築数十年の商業ビルの内装改修プロジェクトである。35m2の空間にアイラッシュサロンとヘアサロンを同居させるという試みで、２面採光を生かしつつそれぞれをプライベートな空間として成立させるために、アイラッシュブースをコアとして中心に据えた計画とした。

中心にコアがあることで、ぐるりと室内を一周できるレイアウトとなっている。お客様同士やスタッフ同士、またはお互いの動線がエントランスを除き一切交わることはなく、それぞれがバックルームにダイレクトにアクセスできるようになっており、サロンとしての使いやすさを確保している。

既存の内装部分にはほぼ手を加えず、補修した後白に塗り上げられている一方で、コア部分はラワンベニヤ仕上げとした。新設と既存の仕上げを切り替えることによって、コアは象徴的なデザインとした。通常は床上げが必要なシャンプー台は、配管を工夫することでフラットな床となっており、つまづきやワゴンの移動を妨げない、スムーズな移動を可能にしている。

This is a project to renovate the interior of a decades-old commercial building located in Shimokitazawa. The eyelash booth was designed to be the core of the salon.

With the core in the center of the room, the layout allows for a full circle around the room. With the exception of the entrance, there are no intersections between customers, staff, or each other, and each has direct access to the back room, ensuring the ease of use of the salon.

While the existing interior areas were left virtually untouched, repaired and painted white, the core was finished in lauan veneer. By switching between the new and existing finishes, the core was given a symbolic design. The shampoo table, which normally requires a raised floor, has a flat floor due to the ingenious plumbing, allowing for smooth movement without tripping or hindering the movement of the wagon.
