Leaders from Japan and African countries have wrapped up a conference on the continent's development. TICAD aims to promote private sector connections.

The Tunis Declaration says private companies and startups are key to sustainable and inclusive growth.

Stakeholders say this strategy helps provide opportunities for women and young people.

The conference is also a response to Chinese cash infusions, which experts call a debt trap. Leaders urge money lenders to be fair and open.

Tunisia hosted and co-chaired the conference. 

President Kais Saied said African countries will keep working with global partners to make use of the continent's abundant human and natural resources.

「アフリカ開発会議」の略

日本とアフリカ諸国の首脳らが、アフリカ大陸の開発に関する会議を終えました。ＴＩＣＡＤ＝アフリカ開発会議は、民間部門の交流促進を目指しています。
岸田文雄総理大臣はオンラインで記者会見に臨み、「日本は『アフリカと共に成長するパートナー』でありたいと考えています」と述べました。
チュニス宣言では、アフリカの持続可能で包摂的な成長には民間企業とスタートアップ企業が重要だとしていて、この戦略が女性や若者への機会提供に貢献することになると関係者は話しています。
ＴＩＣＡＤはまた、専門家が債務のわなと呼ぶ中国の資金注入に対処する会議でもありました。首脳らは債権者に対して、公正で開かれた貸し付けを行うことを求めています。
この会議はチュニジアが開催し、共同議長を務めました。チュニジアのカイス・サイード大統領は、「アフリカ諸国は今後も世界のパートナーたちと協力して、アフリカ大陸が持つ豊富な人材や天然資源を活用していきたい」と述べました。
