Discover Calamba City, Laguna in the country of the Philippines(Sharing my own experiences)

Hi everyone, I want to introduce everyone to Calamba city, my second hometown. It is one of the cities in the Laguna province or prefecture that can be found in the Philippines.

What is the province of Laguna like?

it is a place where countryside living and city living can be experienced together. Also, it is the birthplace of the national hero of the Philippines, “Dr. Jose P. Rizal”.

Calamba has a deep and storied history that is closely tied to the life and legacy of Dr. Jose Rizal, the national hero of the Philippines. Rizal was born in Calamba on June 19, 1861, in what is now known as the Rizal Shrine.

Today, the shrine is a museum that preserves the life and works of Rizal, offering visitors a chance to step back in time and learn about the hero's upbringing and the historical context of his era.
Now, let’s go to the attractions and fun part of going to Calamba.

1.Hot Springs and Cold springs

This is one of the most advantageous things about living in Calamba. We are near the Spring pools in which you can swim and relax.

My favorite is Cold Springs because I don’t like hot springs in the Philippines because of its weather unlike in Japan where it is cold after you go to an onsen especially in winter.

These therapeutic waters are not only soothing but also believed to have healing properties. Pansol is a popular destination for family outings and team-building activities.

2.Makiling Botanic Gardens

it is located at the base of Mount Makiling, this 300-hectare botanical garden is a paradise for nature enthusiasts. It boasts a diverse collection of plants, trees, and orchids. Hiking trails are also available for those who want to explore the surrounding forest.

If you want to enjoy going with nature and hiking like me this is a place you need to go.

3.Foods and Restaurants

This is “Pancit Canton '' or in Japanese “Yakisoba '' and the other dish is called “Sisig” a pork dish in a sizzling plate with egg and calamansi.

Also, there are a lot of restaurants here with different specialties including Japanese menu.

Shinkansen Ramen & Izakaya is one of the Japanese restaurants I eat here in Calamba.

But my best suggestion is the Unlimited chicken wings. There are a lot of unlimited chicken wings in Calamba where you must try.

I love chicken wings…. Hahaha…
