踏切の前で　
遮断機が上がるのを待っていた。

踏切の向こう側には　
幼稚園児らしい女の子がひとりいるだけ。

電車が１本通過した。
だが、遮断機は上がらない。

踏切の向こう側には　
小学生らしい女の子がひとりだけ立っていた。

幼稚園児はどこかへ行ってしまったらしい。

さっきと反対方向の電車が１本通過した。
しかし、まだ遮断機は上がらない。

踏切の向こう側には　
高校生らしい女子生徒がひとりいるだけだった。

さっきまでいた小学生の女の子に　
様子がよく似てる気がする。

お姉さんかもしれない。

左右から１本ずつ電車が通過した。
それでも遮断機は上がる気配すらない。

踏切の向こう側には　
見覚えある若い女性がたったひとりで待っていた。

思い詰めたような表情で　
彼女はじっとこっちを睨んでいる。

遮断機が上がるのを待ち切れず　
私は思わず線路に飛び出した。

Railroad Crossing Without Opening

I was waiting for the breaker to go up
before the railroad crossing.

There is only one girl who seems to be a kindergarten child
on the other side of the railroad crossing.

A train passed by.
However, the breaker does not go up.

There was a girl like an elementary school standing alone
on the other side of the railroad crossing.

The kindergarten child seems to have gone somewhere.

I passed a train in the opposite direction a while ago.
However, it still does not go up.

who seemed to be a high school student
on the other side of the railroad crossing.

She feels like the appearance of the elementary school girl
who stayed a while ago.

She may be her older sister.

A train passed one by one from the left and right.
Still the breaker does not even rise.

On the other side of the railroad crossing,
a familiar young lady was waiting alone.

She looks staring at me this way with expressive looks.

I could not wait for the breaker to go up
and I instantly jumped out to the track.
