ある町に　一頭のイノシシが住んでいました。

イノシシは　イノシシなので　イノシシらしく　
まっすぐ走りたいのですが　

人に怒られたり　建物の壁にぶつかったり　
たいそう痛い目にあうので　

イノシシらしくないな　と思いながらも　仕方なく　
ゆっくり曲がって歩くようにしているのでした。

それでもイノシシは　ふと　無性に　
まっすぐ走りたくなるのでした。　

とくに　空に架かる虹の橋とか　夕焼けとか　
きれいな景色を見たりすると

もうどうにも我慢できなくなるのでした。

その年の元旦の朝　ついにイノシシは
輝く朝日に向かって　まっすぐ走り出しました。

でも　走るのは　久しぶりだったので　

邪魔をする人も　障害物もないのに　
イノシシは　転んでしまいました。

ある町に住む　イノシシの話でした。

A Wild Boar in a Town
